To elaborate, here’s the AU:

In all my AUs, Eirika is an Outrealm Traveller.  The Outrealms are a concept within the recent Fire Emblem canon (FE13 onward) that allows for the various stories to be connected as either parallel universes or by allowing some method of time travel;

   After defeating Lyon and the Demon King, the intensity of Eirika’s despair and the residual magic left from the Demon King’s ritual tore open an Outrealm gate.  The tactician princess fell through and now finds herself in an unfamiliar land…

 Fates AU;

    Eirika was found and taken in by Archduke Izana, who recognized her potential as his eventual successor when he gazed upon her beautiful hair (which is entirely in character don’t you dare deny it).  Unable to travel through Nohr territory to get to the Dragon Gate and search for a way home, Eirika is stuck training to rule a country she does not belong to.  The arrangement, however, is tenuous and with tensions rising between the two super-powers, Hoshido and Nohr, Eirika may find herself thrust into a new war… or even used as a bargaining chip.
