This was my first big project of 2023, cleaning my bedroom so I can see the carpet and have more than a tiny narrow path to walk in and then redecorating with whatever sparks joy that I already own and in the thriftiest manner possible (aka buying only Daiso and Ikea and clearance bins if I need to). I do have the budget to completely renovate the room with paint and wallpaper and all new furniture etcetera, but I didn’t want to do any of that because this is a new build with okayish furniture which doesn’t need renovation yet and also that sounds like a lot of grueling, expensive, time-consuming, potentially injurious physical labor. Perhaps in 3 or 4 more years (if I’m still alive, hope not!)

I gave up on a couple of art projects I had planned for my room because they just weren’t working out, so now I am moving on to the other projects left on the wayside. I have 2 in progress cosplays from last year, a dollhouse build and uhh... my website and various small art and craft projects. And writing. Actually before that I need to clean the mess I moved from out of my bedroom into every other room of the house lol
