Somewhere there's a nuclear reactor leaking in Fukushima
There's meltdown that is panicked on the mend
on the other side of the world,
there's a nuclear reactor leaking in some other Fukushima
There's not enough scientists
There's a shortage of first responders
The radiation level is rising
No one could've guessed the dangers
For the first time in five years I prayed like a lost child
Asking whoever would listen what could I do for you
Face-to-face with smallness
Bitterly understaffed and powerless
You're moving back in to your old house
Knowing the land is radioactive
I wish that I had learned to be a doctor
If only I were an engineer
Then maybe I'd be sure there's nothing left to fear
