Goodbye Saya 沙弥, hello again Fukuya ふく弥 Fukuya has been a Maiko at Kawayoshi, Miyagawacho from 2015-21 before retiring to become a Geiko (Saya) in her hometown Obama (Fukui prefrecture). She was active there as one of only two Geiko from 2022 to this year, 2025. Now, she is back in Miyagawacho (debuted 21. November), leaving Obama once again with only one Geiko: Momo もも.

Fukuya has announced that the new Shugo Chara! products that were revealed a few months ago will be available late January 2026.
