Welcome to Fuld Friday! Listen folks, there’s a reason William Fuld’s name is still written across the top of Winning Moves’ Classic Ouija. Without William Fuld and his family’s marketing genius, I’m not sure we’d still be talking about Ouija at all. In 1997 I met the Fulds, and over the years they’ve gifted me many amazing things. Amazing things like this photo! I love photos. Putting faces to names is a big deal for me. When I first started researching Ouija in 1992 two of my biggest goals was to find out who everyone was, and what they looked like. When William Fuld tragically died in 1927, his children took over. At first it was William Andrew, his sister Katherine Bowie, and brother Paul. Paul would come and go until he made a life for himself on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Eventually, Hubert became the last president of William Fuld Inc. selling the company and their beloved Ouija to Parker Brothers in February of 1966. I can’t thank the Fulds enough for opening their homes and hearts to me and making me an extended part of their family. It’s been an amazing journey that just doesn’t seem to end. Because of that, Fridays will now be Fuld Friday when I will share something that both sides of the family have given me. Enjoy the Fuld brothers and happy Friday!
