He’s been staring at the building for a bit, but hey! He has to make sure the lights are working just right for the spooky season. As he admires his work, he’s pulling long hair back and ties it into a bun. A little messy, but that’s fine. 

“Perfect. Let’s see...What else is needed.” Gravestones maybe?

“Ah, you’re here!” Zeno invited Hak over to his apartment rather quickly. He was the only person he really knew here after all, and it was easier to experience the new surroundings together. “You don’t have to be nervous mister, Zeno lives all by himself. So no one else is here, just you and Zeno!~” He sounded cheerful, but living alone was rather lonely. “What about you? Do you have nice roommates?” He still was thankful for a free roof above his head at all at this point. Not that sleeping outside was any trouble for him at this point either though. 

“Hmm...”, as soon as Hak took his first steps inside, the blonde boy let out a rather troubled sigh. “There’s actually something I want to show you, mister...” That he switched to first person speech, probably was a good sign that it was something that genuinely confused him. 

He lead him to the living room, there they stopped in front of a black wide box. “Do you see this window? It’s weird, isn’t it? You can’t even look outside from it... But wait, that isn’t all that is to it!” That’s when Zeno pressed the one button it had, and the next thing they both saw were colorful moving pictures. 

“Do you think we’re watching real people from somwehere? Maybe it’s something like Seiryuus powers turned into a device... Though all that it showed the time I looked at it, was people singing and dancing...” He wondered if they could maybe check on the others with that device, but all in all it just confused the hell out of him. How could he be so old, but having no idea about this thing at all? It was almost creepy...

Kaede wasn’t really a skilled cook. That’s why she tried to avoid using the stove in her own apartment. Truth to be told, she was interested in trying to make her own food in near future. But as a beginner, she decided to wait for someone who could watch and assist her, whenever she will decide to start learning to do so. After all, it was better to be safe than sorry! As a pianist, she couldn’t afford her hands getting hurt in any kind of way!

That’s how she ended up in a restaurant today as well. There was a wide variety of meals to choose from, but before you could take anything to your table, you had to pay for what you chose on the checkout first. The person in front of her took suspiciously long to pay for some reason though.. As someone with her kind of hobby, she was a rather patient girl, but the guy needed already long enough, that her own food was already getting cold. 

“Um, are you in need of any help? I don’t mean to be too direct, but... you do look a little lost. And the line behind us is getting longer too.”

What drew you into Golden Kamuy?

I mean I just saw the hijikata cover who very vaguely reminded me of ….god i forget the blind guy from akagi. just the hair though. i think i was just looking for smth new to read so i just lazily clicked the title

so i read and was like “oh cool an ainu? “ (though i only barely knew about them) and i think i had to go somewhere but i kind of forgot i had even started it and forgot it for months

so then. next thing, few months ahead i think? maybe even for years idk really? what i saw… next…  i saw was this

so yeah. thats how i started reading gk

GAG BALL

A toy that you hold in your mouth like a dog. It’s called a gag ball because you make an interesting face while holding it in there.

“Oh, please don’t misunderstand, I would never pick a tasteless present as this for anyone…” Why did she get a gag ball of all things? How shameful… Maybe she should pray and ask God for forgiveness after… “I doubt that this would sell well either, so I hope you find some better use for it.”

valvatorez calls for the young man’s attention, whom was seemingly standing in midair. it almost appeared as if they were standing upon an invisible block to support the height and yet, not at all. it was not the only mystery that was in need of solving either --- there was the mass of ruins, rubble and overgrowth that seemed to have suddenly plagued the city; a change that draped over it as if cast by a terrible illusionist. but this ? the vampire quirks his brows into questions, tilting his head to its side and trying to make sense of it too.

could it be levitation ? flight ? no, it seemed far too unnatural, much like everything else.

“ how in hades are you doing that ? is this all connected to the ongoing illusion or are you playing tricks ? come down from there. ”

“Ooii, Mister!” Zeno was standing on some broken building, while spotting Hak down on the street there. Finally, he found him! He was looking for him already for quite some time. After all, they were once again in danger... and while Hak lost some of his power, he surely was in need of the dragon that had the power to shield him from any damage, so in other words, him. 

Of course Zeno was aware that he could use his power only in a very limited way now. But that didn’t mean that still wound’t give anything to protect his new family that he found, and Hak was an important part of that said family. After a small jump to the ground, he approached him with a cheerful smile.

“Are you hurt?” There was genuine concern in his voice. Hak was a good fighter, and he knew that, but from what he observed so far, those beasts seemed very robust. Not as robust as the Ouryuu, of course, but definitely harder to kill than their usual enemies. “Zeno could avoid most enemies so far ... It’s weird how they appeared just like that, huh...? I hope the other townspeople are doing well so far as well.”
