Daemon Primarchs in general are horrible to draw, because they ARE Very complex and detailed, so no Fancy rendering for This reptilian with massive dreams for Humanity and secret low selfsteem perfection seaking pretty boy, Just pretty pastel colors and depression.

This is a Fulgrim apreciation post, with moastly around 2625x35000 digital drawings done 100% on Ibispaint. I have painted quite a few of The Snek over these months, here are My favorites, more or less in " What The fuck is happening??? " Order, but This guy manages to be recognizable EVEN when Im at my most lazy style, Go figure.

for as often as Perturabo is depicted as a blunt tool that can only do one thing, he’s a remarkably deep commander as well as character. i know it’s been pointed out a billion times now but i genuinely believe he is and always was the most practical, pragmatic and sane of all the primarchs. definitely among the traitors he stands out for not being a pompous dickhead and not constantly throwing his weight around. Angel Exterminatus (especially in the opening chapters) rlly shows that he is efficient and blunt, but that does not make him simple. he doesn’t gloat, he educates and punishes only those who are deserving, at least in his own Legion. he isn’t vain, unlike Fulgrim who’s also in the book and is a dick about everything. even in regards to the broader Heresy, he didn’t necessarily love Chaos, he just hated the Imperium and thought it was a bloated corpse. Thousand Sons had Tzeentch, Emperor’s Children had Slaanesh, World Eaters had Khorne, and the Death Guard had Nurgle. The Word Bearers and Night Lords had Chaos Undivided and The Alpha Legion is just kinda fuckin weird. every traitor Legion had an associated Chaos entity, but the Iron Warriors remain relatively uncorrupted (at least until the end of the Heresy when Perturabo realizes Horus is treating him just like the Emperor did (as an unpleasant means to an end) and they all fucked off to the Eye of Terror and then got forcibly mutated and corrupted). hell, he calls Fulgrim and the Emperor’s Children “debauchers”. HE DOES NOT LIKE THEM.

PS: to create this art I used and traced a LOT of references, most of them photos of my BF and his dimpeles, hair models, MANY PHOTOS AND GREEK SCULPTURES OF PEOPLE BEING HOT, grapes and snakes photos, couches, etc. I had PLENTY of references for posing, lighting and details, Other Fulgrim art, manga panels of Baki, etc etc, Photoshop, Ibis Paint filters, etc etc. Never assume The art comes 100% from My Head, It Never has, but No AI was ever used.

🐍👬 How about we start the Year of Chaos (hopefully this time???) with a big aaa heresy?

I sketched this highlighted thing for a friend's fanfic over on Tumblr, some months ago back when I First Drew The Perfect Son, but WHY don't we turn It into a 100% realised and rendered portrait? I do need to practice painting purple skin anyway.

Fulgrim Loves Himself (or hates himself? Now he probably loves himself) so... What will he do with the poor defective clone our favorite disgusting scientist threw awa— GENTLY gifted as a peace offering to his Primarch?

The clone's name is Timothy, by the way. The clone is made to look smooth and soft and slightly durppy in contrast with his aaaaa Larger more Lilac version, so he looks like Kronk to me—

And yes, I make Fulgrim's most handsome features to look like a Evil Henry Cavill, Fight me.

NOW that I have drawn every Primarch in theyr Human selfs, I Will probably get to drawing theyr 40k forms, DAEMONS, half dead, etc— and Ferrus as The Primarch of The Dammed because Of course—

I AM reading Dark Impirium, and Fulgrim shows up Just to Kill Guilliman in the start of that book, and The Way It describes him? Ooof, inhumanly beautyful, strangely Perfect, Too Perfect, perfect muscles, body, proportions, lilac skin covered in runes, smelling like flowers and rot beneath The beauty, before his face contorts in... A Very Less Pretty thing— So if I do finish This, I want My Fulgrim to look ethereal and weird, looking upon the poor viewer he is about to do Very bad things to.
