For aesthetics choices i did the early 2000s grayscale skin to match the grungy look of the pencil and tatters. Idk if others remember that time where every character in computer drawings on devient and like half the vocaloid amvs were plain paper white or grayscale but i do.

Basically if Jiraiya achieved a more stable sage mode, one that teeters on taking too much nature chakra where he could become statufied. The animalistic nature of this mode makes him rather… horrible to deal with. Not quite as bumpy as he usually is but I imagine if he pushed the bar further those features would morph again. A feral mishmash of man and beast formed from a desire to be as powerful as possible. He’s unpredictable and has never been more dangerous.
