Just had a batshit insane thought that both fuels my bingpreg and scary shizun agenda.
Getting right to the point, Binghe and Shen Qingqui, due to likely pollen related events, are secretly married with a kid on the way. They are both dearly in love with each other, and have said as such to each other. SY is under the mistaken impression that, now that binghe is married and pregnant (with a man!! From a man!!!!), then there's no fucking way the Endless Abyss plot can happen, since why would Binghe be in the event?
Well. Surprise surprise, it still happens. Binghe goes with his husband not to attend the competition, but to supervise at SY's side. Unfortunately, he kind of had to go- wanted to go even- and SY couldn't figure out a good excuse why not since no one knew he was pregnant.
So. Bingpreg in the Abyss. No, SY didn't push him in, he fell. It was awful. You thought Widow Era SQQ was bad? SY sits vigil at Binghe's 'grave' unendingly, mourning both who his husband used to be and also his unborn child, because there is no way their baby can survive through the horrors and stressors of the Abyss. LQG suggests getting a new disciple and SY just about cuts his head off.
Good news! Binghe learns a very convenient and interesting trick with his blood that allows him to pause baby's growth until a more ideal time comes for them to be born. Bad news! He spends the entire Abyss terrified of a miscarriage and (very convinced of his husband's love for him) completely in terror that he'll return to a grave with SQQ's name on it. (He's not wrong to worry.) Unfortunately, for baby's continued health, he has to spend more time than he would have in cannon doing his best to stay semi-healthy.
Good news #2! The plot goes completely off rails the moment Binghe gets out of the Abyss! (Unless SQQ *is* dead, then it goes right back on the rails minus a dead body.)
