Hello Southernistas and happy Monday! I hope y'all had a good weekend. Last week was a rough week for me. I was under the weather last week but thankfully I am feeling 100%. In case you didn't know New York Fashion Week is going on right now! The first day was September 4th and ends September 11th and I am really enjoying watching the shows on nyfw.com. So in honor of NYFW I will be just a little bit extra amd and I am starting with this whimsical Betsey Johnson dress from @diaandco. Betsey Johnson is known for her fun and playful fashion and I was over the moon when she teamed up with @diaandco for a capsule collection. Good morning y'all. So here is my second look for my style challenge from the amazing @kwilla89 of @diaandco. Kaitlin sent 2 pieces to the Dia Ambassadors (which I am one) to see how we would style them. Now for those of you who have been following me know dresses and skirts are how I roll but I love these pants! They are very comfortable but long (I'm 5'3) which is to be expected. So I paired the pants with this cute floral top from @stitchfix and these over the top mules from @eloquii and a simple black necklace and tote. 3 years ago, i started on this blogging journey. I really didn't have a plan for it, i just wanted to take pictures of my clothes. I wanted to share with my friends that not only do plus girls ROCK, that we could also dress fashionably. I wanted to spread body positivity and push the envelope with my fashion. I wanted to bring a new awareness on dressing for your body type (not all of us are hourglass). I just wanted to shine a light on a demographic that had been left in the dark for so long. I hoped that me posting full body shots of my #ootd would do that for someone, if ONLY ONE. ▪ This picture was one of the first pictures I took for my blog, which used to be called "LegallyFashioned". It was taken by my then boyfriend (now husband) with a cellphone at a bus stop. I was a little nervous because i didn't want anyone to see me taking photos or ask what i was doing. Look how far I've come!! Lol. ▪ I challenge you all. Join @diaandco and I in the #fullbodylove movement. Take a full body picture of yourself, post it with the hashtag #fullbodylove. Fight through your nerves and awkwardness. Give someone else the courage. Let's make this a thing... Xo 👄
