2. Edward or Alphonse?

Oh man, this one is actually really hard? How can i choose between my two sons?? But I’ll say....Ed.

3. Excluding Roy and Riza, who is your favourite member of Team Mustang?

They’re all my favorite. But hm. I really do like all of them for unique reasons. I guess maybe I’ll say Breda? He seems to really, like, get Roy on a strategic level. Or that was the feeling I got on the Promised Day, especially. And that flash of anger we get from him when he can’t find Marcoh, and the way he’s there for Havoc in the hospital scene before that. His character has an, not unexpected but still surprising, bite to it that interests me.

12. Favourite location?

Visually Resembool is really pretty. But in the “i wished we knew more about it” way I’ll say the tunnels beneath Central. Because what else is down there? Father and co. can’t have built that elaborate tunnel system just to sit in it for centuries in the dark. My imagination leads me to want to believe that there’s all sorts of interesting labs and rooms down there.

One thing in particular I love about these one-shots is their characterization; they’re real, well-thought out and well-portrayed. Along with that, this has a lovely spectrum of fics, some are happy and comedic while others are meaningful and much darker. In both cases, it’s good at drawing you in, and a genuinely enjoyable fic. Take note of any warnings mentioned, though, because there’s one for graphic depictions of violence right off the bat.

I can't believe I'm lucky enough to have found someone as thoughtful and talented as @fullmetallizard, but also to have become friends with her and seen her grow both in her life and in her writing. Catie not only surprised me with a beautiful Rizbecca fic, "you're my best friend and I need you, do you know that?", but inspired me to write my own. Without her, I never would’ve been brave enough to write my first femslash.

She has made me cry multiple times and feel all the things with her fanfiction. I have always loved that she’s not afraid to write things that are heartbreaking and is able to make you feel those emotions with her words. I will never be over her fic, “the mother we share will keep your proud head from falling,” because I bawled like a baby. It was beautiful and tragic and just so real. Seriously, I love how raw her writing is. She does not pull punches.

And I love her child original characters! It still mind-boggles me that people actually thought she copied off of me when she created Penelope, her child for Roy and Riza, when it’s possible she may have come up with that character before I created Aidan or at least fully conceptualized him. It’s such a joy when people create their own headcanons and original characters. I love seeing it in other people’s writing and with Catie it’s no different. Her fanfics with Penelope in her Alphabet Series, “absorbing everything, the spectrum’s A to Z,” hold a very special place in my heart.

It’s still funny to me that we both decided on the same names for Edward and Winry’s kids. I don’t know how that happened. For some reason, I remember thinking that was their canon names and now I realize how ridiculous that is, but to me, it cemented something between both of our writing. Plus, she also uses lyrics from Hamilton to title her fics and that’s my ultimate weakness. Catch me basking in “you outshine the morning son...my son,” while also dying over “i need you so much closer.” Catie just has this lovely grasp of these very personal, intense experiences and is able to put the characters we know and love in them so carefully.

I’m blabbing now, but you must get the point. I adore Catie and her writing, but also as a person and friend. She’s helped me through a lot of things with my own stuff and writing and that’s very dear to me. Love you!

So I’ve completely fallen in love with the idea of @fullmetallizard ‘s voice tag idea, and I’m feeling pretty chatty! I really want to voice some of my thoughts about aspects of the series and characters and all that, so send me requests of stuff you want me to ramble about!! Controversial topics, headcanons, relationships between characters, meta, anything!! I love you guys a lot and I wanna be more involved in the fandom :)
