"Werk it. Shake all of what ya mamas gave you. All of it. Don't be afraid to work up a sweat. Get flexible...switch up your role and position...get creative and try some new shit. Have fun. Be creative. Exhibitionism ain't a bad thing either when you use it right. Don't forget about endurance and stamina, too. Nobody wants a lazy lover. Don't be a lazy lover....with yourself and your goals! Reaching your own personal climax is it's own reward. Get it!!" ••• ~ the way my spirit guides speak to me at 3am 💦#messagesAfterMidnight #listening #receiving #cumThrough #inspiration #meditation #lessons #blessings #sensuality #sensualEngagement #fullMooning #laLuna #lunaLove #lunaLotusLove #LUNATICS
For my fellow #WolfTribeWomen 🔮 it's howling time! •••••••• Repost from @startupcreative #TopRankRepost It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain. I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human. - Oriah Mountain Dreamer Listen to the behind the scenes of launching issue #5 on the podcast today. Joyce's Daughter, mother of 3 and Isabel's Daughter, mother of 3... 💓💓💓 I love this lady! Spent the whole entire day with my mama, without my kids or the rest of hers..time we don't get often!!! At the end of the day, she's my mama, but we're daughters and sisters too. #thankful for everything she gave and even the things she didn't. #feelingBlessed #myMama #familyTime #fullMooning #happyNewYear

fullmooning replied to your post: So I am writing a short Stiles/Lydia body swap fic...
It’s been years since I’ve beta’d anything but I’ll give it a shot if you’d like. Sorry if I suck though.
no that's fine :) I am really just looking for a person who can catch my spelling/grammar mistakes and maybe even insert an idea when it seems to be lagging something? do you have someplace where I could send it? :) (when its done obvi :P)
fullmooning said: have you seen this? qhuinn.tumblr.com/post/…
Thank you for the suggestion but unfortunately I have indeed seen that, several times in fact (in the same day), and read every single one of them that struck my fancy and written sonnets in honour of Qhuinn's taste and organisation skills. *sigh* Production unfortunately cannot keep up with demand. Thanks again for taking the time to link me though!
Hi! Wow so I just found your blog and I absolutely love it. I googled "forensic psychologist" and that sounds so interesting. I'm currently debating between a psychology and criminology major and I was wondering what kind of coursework your taking to make your degree more specific/crime oriented. Sorry if this is creepy or too invasive, I'm just really trying to narrow down my options and career path.
Hello! Welcome to the blog. Make yourself at home. Can I get you a cup of tea?
You aren’t being creepy or invasive at all! I’m happy to help in whatever way I can.
I did my undergrad in the US, and I didn’t really specialise my coursework because I went to a small liberal arts school and didn’t have that option (I also decided to learn Japanese and study abroad for while and double majored, so that took care of my extracurriculars). I ended up with a BS in Psychology and a BA in Asian Studies, if that is what you are asking.
I imagine you could get a specific Bachelor’s in Forensic Psychology at some universities, and that’s great, but you would be more than fine going to a school with a strong general psychology programme. If you want to specialise more in crime-oriented studies, you can do that when you get your MSc or PhD, because you are going to have to have some kind of graduate education. If you want your undergrad degree to be more specialised, you can take electives or choose your required courses to reflect that interest. For instance, I needed a certain number of psych courses to graduate, but I could choose which ones I wanted, so I made a point of taking things like abnormal psych, clinical psych, and childhood development because those had more applicability to forensic psychology than something like adulthood and aging or histories and systems. This goes for criminology as well.
Also, do as much research as you can. Find a professor you like and latch onto them for dear life. Offer to help with their research, or see if they will let you do some of your own. If you are lucky, you might even get to publish or co-author something. Grad schools care more that you know your way around a lab than anything else. If your research can be crime-oriented, all the better.
Currently, I’m working towards an MSc in Forensic Psychology. Because I’ve moved to the UK, I am having to take a year to convert my degree to one that is acceptable in the UK (the British Psychological Society didn’t appreciate my double major). It is frustrating, but I am doing a crime-based dissertation, so I am still increasing my research experience and my experience with forensic psychology.
Something else to consider is that psychology and criminology are more different than you would expect. Psychology focuses more on how people behave as individuals (even if you are looking at a population), and sociology (criminology is a type of sociology) focuses more on how people behave en masse. So, for example, a forensic psychologist may investigate what the type of burglary committed can tell us about a burglar, while a criminologist may investigate population trends that led to an increase in burglaries over a 5-year period. I have psychology friends who specialised in criminology in undergrad, and they hated it, but these are people who love psychology. I’ve also known sociologists who had no interest in studying psychology, so it goes both ways. It just depends on what you find interesting.
But you know what? You have 4 years to pick a major. You don’t have to specialise immediately. Take an intro to psych and and intro to criminology class. You might love one and hate the other. You might love them both and need to take a few more classes to decide. You might want to double major, or to major in one and minor in the other. If you are interested in crime-based work, either one should be fine. And you don’t have to decide what career you want immediately, either. You can have an idea, but there are so many careers that you probably do not even know about that might be perfect for you. Just play the field, especially in the first year, and see what jumps out at you.
