Full Mouth Rehabilitation with Long Nose Correction This young man has had anodontia since childhood with only a few deciduous teeth erupting in his bilateral jaws. He had faced a very difficult childhood with very limited dietary choices due to the absence of teeth. His parents had tried complete dentures for him, but he had never been comfortable wearing dentures. He also complained that he had a very long nose. There was also a deviation of the dorsum of his nose. This gave his nose a crooked appearance. He had some accompanying breathing difficulties due to his nasal deformity. Upon reaching marriageable age, he decided to get these issues addressed. His search for the best hospital for comprehensive cosmetic correction led him to our hospital. There was complete resorption of his maxillary and mandibular alveolar bones due to his long standing anodontia. Bone grafts harvested from the ribs were used to augment the alveolar ridges of his jaws. Following consolidation of his bone grafts, dental implants were placed in both jaws for full rehabilitation of his oral cavity. Ceramic bridges were fabricated and cemented onto the dental implants following osseointegration of the implants to the alveolar bone. His long nose deformity was addressed next. An intercartilaginous incision was made followed by reduction of the upper and lower lateral cartilaginous length. The medial septal cartilage was then removed. Medial and lateral osteotomies were finally performed to straighten his nose. He was very happy with the cosmetic and functional results of the surgery. Savouring all varieties of food for the very first time, he said that he now had a newly gained zest to live life to the fullest.
