Reading The Truth and Beauty by Andrew Klavan.
I never truly thought of Jesus as fully man.
Klavan wrote about how Jesus enjoyed nature and loved his friends and I never thought of it like that.
The time I spent in awe of the beauty of the Almond orchards and Jesus would have been filled with a similar joy at creation. I never thought of it really.
CREED // JESUS, GOD'S SON (HEBREWS 1:1-3)
'We confess that the pre-existent Son of God became a particular person, in a particular place, at a particular moment in the history our world, and that through this particularity, the invisible has been made perfectly visible'
Here’s my longer sermon notes from this morning’s Metro Christian Centre, Bury & Whitefield service (dated 6th February 2022), continuing our current series on the Apostles’ Creed. You can also catch up with this via MCC’s YouTube channel. DIVINE COLOURS Over the past few weeks we’ve been travelling through the Apostles’ Creed, using it as a guide for exploring what has been passed onto us. So…

One of the Most Blatant Examples of Kenosis I have Ever Encountered
If God wasn’t in Christ on Calvary’s cross… Think of the implications… It means God didn’t die for your sins ~ a man did… Can it then even be called salvation? Jesus was both fully man and fully God. Matthew 27:46 reflects his human side. There is simplicity in Christ.

Uncomprehensible - God Became a Man
Uncomprehensible – God Became a Man
Philippians 2:6-7 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
Jesus is fully God. He has always been fully God. As God, He has existed at all times. Jesus did not come into existence at His birth, instead He was always been alive. What…

Fully Man
John 2:24-25 24 But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, 25 and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man. Jesus was fully God and fully man. He was born the same sinful heart we all do, but He never sinned. He was capable of sinning, He just never did. He knew the wicked ways of man. He knew how…

God’s Son Took on Flesh
God’s Son Took on Flesh
Matterofprayer: A Year of Everyday Prayers – Wednesday, December 30, 2015 God’s Son Took on Flesh In today’s reading, Bonhoeffer said that the Eternal Son took on flesh. He became human. What’s more, He did this out of pure grace; “our being, our nature, ourselves. This was the eternal counsel of the triune God. Now we are in Him.” [1] We know today, from the testimony of all the Scriptures, that…
