the thing about bodyswap is that it's so perfectly ripe a conflict for plucking for hollanov during situationship era because if you will imagine.... hollanov getting inside each other (lol) during that terrified of revealing their Feelings and both yearning to be together, AND they still have to play hockey as rivals while trying to figure out how to get back to their own bodies.....so, what happens when "holly" starts taking nasty slappers and "rozy" starts using a sick deke+backhand? commentators everywhere lose their shit. something is Amiss! but also i would like them to maybe have not yet done anal and to be like, what if the solution is,.,... us inside each other's bodies. teheheee fun.
+ i really like playing w somatic memory and proprioception in body swap fics. what is innate to the body and what isn't. what muscle memory comes to them. how is language stored. how is memory. what happens when they can't figure out how to get back and its been months and they are losing track of themselves and each other.....wow...

i haven't searched for it so much in HR, but i typically really enjoy a doomed soul mates exploration that digs into the gritty worldbuilding details or presents it in a fun medium. red string of fate art is gorgeous and so is non-linear narrative fic and so would be any exploration of the way the show itself says, hey these two are FATED from the moment they touch.
i would love to see works that focus on the Magnetism or the Magic or other grit like: if the soul mate marks are tattoos are regular tattoos illegal? is there a soul mate finding industry? does this change homophobia or is it heteronormative? what about trans folks' names or just folks that go by a different name or what about ilyushka or what about them having each other's HOCKEY NICKNAMES? can they READ EACH OTHER'S MINDS/EMOTIONS?, what if.....one of them dies/forgets the other.....oooohh the potential is vast and juicy and complex...
