WAAAAAAH my favorite boy made me a sword & it’s the prettiest nicest most murderous sword i’ve ever seen 💖 i’ll be breaking some hearts (& bodies) with this beaut.
commission him if you also want a sword, i cannot recommend him enough. bonus features: it’s foam, so you can hit all your friends and loved ones without worrying too much about their lives and limbs.
(he also does other aesthetics, LED shit, leather, stickers, engraving, & just about anything else you can think of)
it's crazy to me every time a post like that comes around people are like i think my mom had me at this age . What do you mean You Think . do you not know your own mother's birthday ????
Oh my god.....
I’ll be honest with you all, I only ever fought the White Defender in the pantheons. I was aware of him and how to fight him, but much like the Zote dream fights, I didn’t hate myself enough to deal with that. So I skipped out on the White Defender fights, and let Zote die in my pantheon play through.
But researching the theories on the Battle of the Blackwyrm was fun. Gave me some fun ideas. Doubt they will ever make it into the comic main story, but my brain is already finding ways to shove some of those theories into the comic world.
But between life being a pain in the ass and Silksong, the theories will likely remain on the back-burners for a while. But here are a few personal takes on little I have been able to research:
I don’ think the title of “Battle of the Blackwrym” is literal. I don’t think they fought an actual wrym. Maybe it was a place, or the title the invading force gave itself, but there is no other wyrm corpse on the map so I don’t believe another wrym was involved.
The corpse that makes up the colosseum of fools is not a wrym in my mind. It has legs and its body is way to short. Whatever that higher being was, it was not a wyrm. Maybe it called itself as such to try and be intimidating or something.
One of the theories I read, talked about how Xero was not talking about trying to kill the Pale King but the Lord Fool, and I got to say, I really like that theory.
I don’t think the fools would be considered higher beings(at lest not in the Progeny Cursed cannon). I think they would be more like the moths or mosskin. Created by/descendants of an actual higher being, but they themselves are mortal.
And in case anyone is curious, this ask was delayed mainly because of Silksong. I’ve already put some 30 hours into the game since it came out. I am dying so much ദ്ദി (╥﹏╥)
Continuing to play Lunacid and I am still pleasantly surprised by it. Would have been my Game of the Year last year if I didn't find out about two weeks ago. Minor spoilers after the cut.
There's a spell call Bestial Communion that gives you a unique message per monster type you use it on (Although most undead, outside of the normal skeletons, all anomalous rats, and snakes return blank messages). It's in some sort of cypher language, but thankfully its translation exists all in one place.
There's an area called the Sanguine Sea, which is not a sea, but a massive cave with about four inches of blood on the ground. It's a big, spooky, dark area, full of skeletons and weird bug things called hemaliths. Also in this area is a huge elephantine creature called a Jotunn. It's so big the darkness obscures at least the top half of it. When you use Bestial Communion on it, it gives you this message:
I don't know about you, but I am so happy this supremely ancient beast is giving me sage advice. In any other thing, it would be screaming reality-warping curses into the void or trying to turn you into its baby. As in, it's such a weird thing that someone in the lore killed one and drank its brain fluids and became the first person in the setting to have magic.
Maybe it's just nice that the years have only made it grow wiser. It's weirdly hopeful. I mean, humans go insane after existing for too long, but this creature seems fine right where it is.
Also of note is the message from the bunny-shaped kodama:
Welcome to AU’August!
During AU’August you get to do all things AU, go to your neglected and forgotten about AU’s and give them some love, I’ll go first :)
Come say hello to Catnap! My boy comes right out of the AU: BigTop AU
This is one of my many aU’s that don’t get to see the light of day much, there isn’t a fanfic for it but there is in general facts and some development. The location of the AU is a Circus Carnival combo, where all the fun can be found in one place! Where people turn into WereAnimals that can either be a temporary one time change that can happen as a sign of growing up…..but for some the change is permanent and they can never really continue their normal lives in the way that they want to. Most end up at the BigTop who welcomes all who have changed permanently a place to live and work.
Catnap here is one of our fire performers, he’s a very interesting guy who makes and fixes a lot of the costumes with his amazing sewing skills! Sometimes he will fill in other performance roles depending on if somebody fell sick or injured and there spot needs to be filled for a performance.
This is what BigTop AU Catnap looks like, only him and DogDay currently have designs, each one of them has there own story’s that I’m hoping to share with everyone.
Anyways until then, have a happy AU’August everybody!
