Insane Malik psychoanalysis headcanons from my fucking idiot alter brain
Malik goes into his mission to kill the pharoah partly expecting it to be a suicide mission and I think that is the main driving factor behind his behavior in battle city. I think by the time we see Malik he has already given up on himself in many ways. His readiness to die lets him give into his violent impulses, and the guilt of having done so makes him more ready to die, ouroboros metaphor etc etc. In his mind, he signed his death certificate the second he left the tomb. (Which was aided at least a little bit by the fact that like. If the pharoah can kill his dad for the crime of touching grass, killing the pharoah himself is probably gonna take him out just automatically). So it doesn't matter who he hurts and how badly or how much of a villian he lets himself become--he's already past the point of redemption, so all that matters is taking the pharoah down with him.
I think malik is hosting a constant battle between the part of himself that is genuinely smart and a good leader and cares about preserving the things he loves, and the part of him that would throw everything away in a heartbeat for a couple seconds of pleasure. And once he gives into that latter part, it kind of overrides his reasoning ability. Id vs Superego and whatever. He starts doing shit on a whim without thinking it through because it feels good in the moment, but it also leads to him like, losing every battle we see onscreen even with overpowered illegal cards. That's why he was so willing to treat his beloved family members like shit throughout his entire mission (seriously he was so mean to rishid what the hell. literally the only reasons he could've had for that whole counterfeit ra thing were a.) genuinely being drunk with homicidal ideation or b.) being convinced he didn't care whether rishid died or not and only realizing his mistake when he lost him. and i kinda have to believe the latter bc even if he did think the card would work, "if you do this you'll be worth more to my family than a slave" is like the most fucked up thing anyone could've ever said to him. anyway.)
On a related note, I do think yami malik pulled the strings a little bit to get him this far gone. Like I absolutely would not claim malik's violent tendencies were all because of his headmate (tbh it might even be the other way around) but I think he was in cofront cheering on his intrusive thoughts.
^^ this is happening to him.
This whole post was originally supposed to be a plural analysis about how it makes a lot more sense for yami have been fronting more than even he thought he was and may very well have been in co-front thoughout most of battle city and how malik may be uniquely suited to leading the rare hunters specifically because he's used to functioning while connected to a bunch of other people's trains of thought all the time. But I got too off topic and now I dont know how to put that in naturally.
Anyway my take on yami malik is that he's not malik's id like he claims to be, but rather he is a person without a developed superego. When he split, both parties were scared and pissed and in pain and feeling every stage of grief at once. Malik had reassurance in his family and the love they gave him but yami malik was still in the position of an Observer. If he made himself known he would get both of them shunned at best and killed at worst. So he never really had anything to fight his impluses for. As far as he knew or cared at the time, everyone around him would've killed him anyway, and any pain he would've suffered as a consequence for his actions was nothing compared to what he was already used to. Killing his dad was probably the first real form of catharsis he was ever conscious to experience, and unlike his host I think catharsis might be the closest thing to real joy he's ever experienced in his life. I've stated before that I believe yami malik may mentally be a child--not like he never matured but like as an alter he is Just 10 years old bc that's an extremely common thing in DID systems. And I think that also contributes a lot to his behavior. But I don't have a lot more to say in defense of that claim other than "have you ever met a little kid who grew up in a violent environment and didn't get hugged bc this is just how they act"
Oh yeah also their dad who malik idolized until his death and who was the only real authority figure in their lives like, ever, was an abusive asshole who was constantly looking for an excuse to torture rishid to death in front of them. So that's probably where both of them got their murder fetish from.
Tldr malik has a villian complex yami malik never learned empathy and both of them think they need to kill to live. We switched halfway through writing this and now the analysis sucks 👍
WHAT IS MUSIC THERAPY? WHAT CAN MUSIC DO FOR MENTAL DISORDERS?
Hi everyone, today I want to shed some light on an extremely relevant topic that I’m sure has touched so many of us: music therapy and mental health.
In a modern society struggling with mental health is becoming more and more common. As a matter of fact, according to a study conducted worldwide by the Mental Health Organization, more than 300 million people suffer from depression. Additionally, more than 60 million people suffer from bipolar affective disorder, and 23 million people suffer from schizophrenia and other psychoses. Music has been used for self-regulation of moods and emotions for a very long time. The matter has also been subject of many investigations and studies. Through these studies, it has been possible to see all the benefits music has on physical, psychosocial and physical health. Additionally, extremely relevant are the studies conducted on the application of music as a therapeutic tool in the treatment or management of mental health disorders such as depression for instance.
There are several approaches where music has been used to promote therapy and health. The first one is Neurologic Music Therapy. This treatment is administered by an accredited music therapist with a certificate in neurologic music therapy. This approach is based on the rehabilitation of brain and behavior functions, concentrating mostly on cognitive speech, language, and sensorimotor disorders. This therapy consists of exercises to facilitate functional non-musical outcomes and to train abilities in cognition and psychosocial functions such as speech and language, motor control, emotional growth, and social skills. Another approach used is Music Therapy. This treatment is administered by a qualified and trained music therapist. The approach uses the music experiences of the patient to promote, maintain and restore health. The experiences are broadly categorized into active experiences that involve singing, playing instruments, improvisation or composition of music. The second category is receptive experiences. This involves adjunctive activities such as listening to live recorded music, for instance, relaxing music, meditating, practicing movement, drawing or reminiscing. Music therapy is focused on facilitating well-being, social relationship building, self-awareness, self-expression, communication, and personal development. The third approach is the Music Medicine. This term was developed in the 90s but sometimes it is used to describe uses of music that do not involve therapeutic process and client-therapist relationship. However, Music medicine is strictly related to music listening protocols for pain reduction, anxiety reduction, relaxation, mood induction, emotional well-being, to induce sleep and boost alertness.
It has been studied that music therapy can be helpful for many different issues that could be either physical or mental conditions. Indeed, it has been seen how music stimulates the senses and provokes a series of therapeutic responses that could lead to having feelings of familiarity, predictability and even security. Music therapy is used to help clients with mental disorders to communicate and express themselves when words fail to do that. This treatment has suggested that specific parts of the human brain are affected by elements of music. Particularly, it has been seen that for instance, some rhythmic paths appear to calm the mind and the body of the patients. In fact, it is thought that music therapy works in different ways depending on the issues that are addressed. For instance, some researches have shown that music with a strong and fast rhythm can affect the heart rate and the breathing path. This way music is broadly used as an aid with relaxation and to reduce muscle tensions. It has been also studied that music can promote the release of endorphins which are practically natural painkillers. This therapy is also helpful in assisting people in releasing negative memories and feelings. Last but not least, it has been found that music can help change behaviors and thus it can be used to reduce behavioral issues.
After all this information a question appears logic: What happens during a music therapy session? Music Therapy sessions are similar to other forms of therapy. Initially, the therapist establishes a therapeutic relationship and alliance with the patient. This will contribute to making the session of therapy a comfortable space where clients can address their issues, express themselves and work towards therapy goals. When these first vital steps are made, the therapy will involve the use of listening to music and making instrumental or vocal music and discussing the patient’s reactions during these experiences. The approach set by music therapists is also something interesting and relevant. Indeed, they normally use instrumental and vocal music strategies to help the client reach their therapy goals. For each patient it will be chosen a specific musical selection and some particular music-making activities. All of this will be based on the individual’s preferences and needs. Hence, music therapy initially involves assessment, treatment planning and evaluation which allows the therapist to select and modify them as needed based on the patient’s progress. As mentioned, these approaches may be active or receptive. Indeed, when the patient is asked to make music, that is an active technique. On the other hand, when the client is asked to listen to music and respond to it with body movements or analysis, that is when the receptive technique is used. Some patients may also be asked to write songs. Additionally, these techniques can be used during either an individual session or in group therapy settings.
Another crucial point about music therapy is that Music Therapists must be well trained in order to do their job properly. Hence, the patient must be careful in choosing the right therapist. Indeed, one of the therapist’s primary ethical duties is to consider carefully the possible risks intrinsic to each type of music experience and to share this knowledge with the patient. This will aim to protect the client and their safety, promoting their agency in the therapeutic process. Additionally, one of the primary responsibilities of the music therapist is to design and facilitate the therapeutic methods and the variations to support their patients while they face life’s trials. A good therapist has also to identify new options for acting and build on personal and collective capacities toward enhanced health and wellbeing.
Additionally, the patient should also take into consideration that every therapy session could carry some risks as well. For instance, during a group session that promotes cohesion among adults seeking mental health treatment, the patients may experience embarrassment from using their voices. Additionally, this experience might evoke unconscious memories and associations of unpleasant or even traumatizing nature. Moreover, when young patients engage in performing pre-composed music, such as a music group they might feel accomplished and proud of their work. Although, they might also experience intense anxiety, dissatisfaction and humiliation if the musical parts do not fit together. Another example is when an abused teen works with a therapist while composing an original song or instrumental piece. The energies brought to bear through musical tensions and resolutions or the moods evoked by the sonic qualities of certain instruments might be incongruous with the client’s lyrics. This may distort the patient’s inner experiences which could lead to complicating the therapeutic process. Additionally, some other risks related to music listening could include overstimulation and confusion. This could also be a major issue for those patients who experienced a brain injury or who have neurologic disorders that impact their use of the sensory input. Moreover, there is always a risk of physical injury as the listener takes in music to guide their movement schemes when dancing for self-expression or to release stress.
Furthermore, since I have experienced depression and since music has always helped me to stay balanced, I thought to shed some light on how music therapy could be useful to prove it is a valid option to treat this condition. I myself, have used music to heal when I was in need.  Indeed, I can now say that music has been the fulcrum of my entire life, easing my pain during my worst years. Back in 2001, in my elementary school years, my struggle with depression and anxiety began. During those years I was bullied by my classmates and my teachers. My battle against bullies, depression, and anxiety, specifically panic attacks, went on for years and now I’m still dealing with the side effects of all that I had to endure. However, despite the pain I suffered, there is a bright side to these painful experiences: they made me discover how powerful music can be. As a matter of fact, that was during elementary school that I discovered my passion for music and in the last year of middle school I found out how powerful music can be and how it can be used to the advantage of people who suffer from mental disorders. While I was going through the harassments of bullies, music became my biggest source of happiness and escapism, to the point that I could not live without it.  I started then listening to music to ease my pain and to escape from all the things I was going through. At the age of 12, I discovered that playing an instrument could give as many benefits as listening to music. Therefore, I took some guitar lessons, given the fact that I had always wanted to play an instrument. When I was in the 10th, 11th and 12th grade I took singing lessons, which helped me become more confident and raise my self-esteem. Thanks to these courses, I made music my major emotional outlet, and my safe space where I could release all my anger, frustration, rage, pain and where I could express myself. Hence, I could say that I experienced both receptive and active experiences and I can say that both of them have been extremely helpful. As a matter of fact, still, today when depression kicks in, I turn to music and it instantly gives me the relief I need.
Admin Zebra here, with some of my observations from the new footage from the latest Nintendo Direct. I wrote some stuff about the first trailer, like commentary on Byleth’s sleeve inspiration from medieval fashion and the (maybe) symbolism behind the Japanese title, but this time I’ll be going all the way through.
First things first: We got an official logo. I kinda like the typeface on the old one (pictured below) more, to be honest.
Obviously this was a rough working title, given they didn’t even have the classic Fire Emblem logo on it, but the new logo’s typeface for Three Houses feels a bit too much. The capitalized T and H, sure, but having the everything like that, and with that kerning? Not feeling it.
Well, I got a degree in design so it’s my sworn duty to nitpick about these things, but this isn’t analysis, so let’s move on.
Lore
We’re introduced to the continent’s major powers and how they convene at the Monastery in Garreg Mach: the Adrestian Empire (Red Black Eagles, Edelgard), Faerghus (Blue Lions, Dimitri), and the Leicester Alliance (Golden Deer, Claude).
Each country has its own house at the monastery a la Harry Potter, and those houses are led by each country’s first-in-line for succession, whom we were introduced to in the first trailer.
Edelgard, as seen by the above picture, is the first-in-line for succession in the Adrestian Empire. Interestingly, they seem to use “Emperor” as a gender-neutral term for the ruler, as the narration calls her the future emperor rather than the future empress.
In the background, we can make out a few characters seen elsewhere in the video (from left-to-right): Dorothea, Ferdinand, Linhardt, Caspar, and Petra. (Edelgard’s the one with the red magic glyph.) Bernadetta is seen hiding under a book a few seconds later, so she’s in the Black Eagles as well.
We unfortunately don’t get a group shot of the Blue Lions, so the members of this house are largely unknown. I don’t think we see anyone aside from Dimitri in the background video in any other scene, either. There are a few kids whose affiliation we don’t see, like Annette, Mercedes (whom Annette calls Mercie), and Sylvain, so they might be in his group.
Lastly, Claude’s group. Pink-haired Hilda, who was seen as one of Byleth’s opponents in the first trailer, is in his group. Later in the video, we get the names for the large blonde man and the orange-haired girl: Raphael and Leonie.
The Church of Seiros is also headquartered in Garreg Mach as the predominant religion on the continent, and it has its own military force, the Knights of Seiros. The seem to be led by this woman, whom we get a better shot of towards the end of the trailer.
She resembles the woman depicted throughout the first trailer, but it’s hard to tell whether she got an updated look over the past few months, is another character entirely, or changed into another outfit.
We also get to meet the probably-manakete girl seen at the end of the first trailer and get a name for her: Sothis.
A cursory search on her name brings me to the Egyptian goddess/constellation name Sopdet, which translated into Greek as Sothis. (More info on that in the link.) Here, Sothis can communicate with Byleth, the main character, through their mind. How or why this happens won’t be clear until we see the game proper, but the narration suggests that it’s tied to the “unexpected incident” that revealed a “hidden power within” that leads to Byleth traveling to Garreg at the start of the story.
Speaking of which...
Assuming that the first image, with Byleth traveling with the three house leaders and his father Jeralt, takes place at the beginning, it seems that the two images in a scene towards the end of the trailer are set before that -- the aforementioned unexpected incident.
In the second image, that clearly would’ve been a fatal blow on Byleth; his back is turned to the bandit, but then it rewinds to the point where the bandit lunges. Instead of having his back towards the bandit to shield Edelgard, Byleth knocks the axe out of the bandit’s hand with the power of weapon triangle advantage.
This likely indicates two things: 1) a return of the Mila’s Turnwheel function from SoV, and 2) Byleth has some sort of power to either see a bit into the future, or rewind time.
Gameplay
Byleth seems to be something of an avatar unit, which was already known from the first trailer when all the official material called them “Your character” instead of the name shown in the trailer. You get to pick between a male and female form, with no known option for further customization -- fair in that there seem to be quite a number of rendered cutscenes a la SoV (and the cutscene animations are by the same team), which would make customizations tough.
I'm more or less neutral about F!Byleth’s design, simply because I disagree with the avatar option to begin with. I prefer set-in-stone characters, and having an avatar whom we don’t have control over personality-wise makes me wonder why they’re even an avatar to begin with. (For example, I love Dragalia’s MC Euden, but I do not at all understand why we label him with a name of our choosing. I respect his personality and his reasoning, but he is not an avatar of me.)
Three Houses boasts greater interaction between not only the player characters, but as well as between characters as well. As depicted in the first trailer, there’s a semi open-world function that allows you to explore Garreg Mach and interact with characters there. I’m looking forward to it, though I do have my reservations depending on how it plays out.
Combat, First Trailer:
Combat, Second Trailer:
The action select screen seems to have changed, but aside from Attack to Atk, it’s hard to tell whether these are complete changes, or simply caused by having different functions unlocked, having different classes, or because Edelgard is a main character where Bernadetta is not (i.e. Formation and Equip). Combat Arts are now also selected on the attack screen, as seen a few seconds later.
Comparing the weapon selection screens, it seems to have been restructured to show values more clearly. Bernadetta also has the three green triangles next to her HP, which is shown throughout several battle screens in this trailer, but I’m not quite sure what that’s for yet.
The new level-up screen. As will be analyzed later, class options in Three Houses seems to be much freer than previous titles, hence the Class Mastery section in the level-up screen. Professor Level seems to be related to Training, which will be covered later. Battalion is, naturally, the troops following each character’s lead; it seems that battalions can be switched out.
Given the Withdraw and Confirm selections at the bottom-right corner, this seems to be an alternative to the Arena. I assume units can’t die here, because that would be pretty difficult to explain to parents. “Hey uhh your son died during a sparring session, whoops.”
Ah, studying. I’m so glad I’m out of school now. You can tutor students individually, as a batch (I assume that’s what Auto-Tutor and Group Task are), or change an individual student’s studying goals.
We get a look at Dorothea’s tutoring as an example. People have gotten fidgety about that heart on the completion screen as a sign of some sort of affection system with the main character, BUT.
Immediately afterwards, we see Linhardt’s goals screen. Looking at that top-right gauge, we see the >w< meter on Linhardt’s has 4 (full) gauges. Meanwhile, Dorothea had 3 maximum gauges, and the 1 gauge left is consumed during training. IF my deductions are correct (pleasebecorrectpleasebecorrect), the heart gauge may build up the training meter when you get good results from training.
Also notable from this screen is that Linhardt’s class is Noble, the same as Bernadetta’s earlier. (Edelgard’s class shown in the first trailer is Aristocrat, which is... similar?) It seems that most students will start off with a similar class and then progress through different ones based on player preference and their own particular strengths. As seen with Dorothea, it seems that Swords and Reason are two of her strengths, while Faith is a weakness.
We are also shown various skills that can be trained:
Weapons: Swords, Lances, Axes, Bows, and Fighting(?)
Character (unofficial term): Reason, Faith, Authority
Unit: Heavy Armor, Riding (Cavalry), Flying
I assume Fighting is a weapon-type skill because Caspar is shown using claws right afterwards.
If you look closely throughout the video, you’ll see female generic soldiers, which is a nice touch, personally. While this is more story-related, it’s interesting that the enemy is labeled “Western Church”. This either suggests that there are different branches of the Church of Seiros, or that this is a split faction (perhaps the “rebellions” the narrator speaks about earlier in the video as one of the enemies you must fight).
This is the customized class screen mentioned earlier. As is apparently from the side list, it seems that characters can access all of those classes, and aren’t limited to just a few. Obviously, characters will probably lean towards certain classes, but it opens a lot of possibilities. Also, Edelgard can now lawfully pillage villages now with the Brigand certification exam. All this time we thought they were just brutes, but apparently it’s a meritorious profession!
This seems to be how supports will play out in Three Houses, which is fine by me. Having stronger bonds between characters provides a so-called “Gambit Boost”, which seems to provide a boost to combat arts. (Edelgard, in some unknown class, uses Coordinated Gambit.)
The rest of the trailer is mostly just cutscenes, one part which I already addressed earlier. The other shots are too vague to really comment on. If there’s one thing I didn’t really like about the trailer, it’s that it didn’t really give us a sense of an overarching conflict. All we know is that there’s a delicate balance between the three nations, it’s probably getting broken, goddesses/dragons are involved, and the crests are to blame.
~The Sisterhood will continue to expand and refine The Sisterhood Training, with the goal of sharing it with as many women as possible.
It is essential to understand that after The Pentavalent itself, The Sisterhood Training is the Most Important Element of The Sisterhood. To use a rather fevered metaphor, The Sisterhood Training is the womb from which the New Matriarchy will be born. Without the efforts and actions of properly trained and motivated Sisters, all the preceding concepts are just so much 'sound and fury'.
Because of that I shall go into a considerable amount of detail regarding The Training itself.
I have been through a number of Large Group Awareness Trainings [LGAT's] These LGAT's were for the most part beneficial and positively transformative for me and for others. And I did see where they had their own internal problems.
The problem that was most apparent to me at the time was that LGAT's tend to 'crack you open' without much proper follow up except more trainings and workshops. They did try to form some kind of community of support – there would be a lot of talk about Relationship and the such – but since the focus was almost exclusively upon Individual Empowerment, that effort usually failed, a few times with tragic consequences.
Another issue was the utter lack of any type of Spiritual foundation. A trainer of mine once addressed this with a statement that they, the LGAT, 'were willing to except the possibility that here was something greater than The Universe.' That's a pretty thin metaphysical soup.
But the Key Issue with every single one of them is this; they are all ultimately 'part of the problem'.
As has been said before in these pages, a primary Operating Motto of ours is a quote from Jiddu Krishnamurti, "It is no measure of good health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society."
In the final analysis, the primary outcome of all the LGAT's I have ever encountered is to support you becoming 'more well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society'. They are after all, capitalist operations and, for all the good they might do, they are in business to sell a product and to make money. This also contributes to the first two problems mentioned above, the cracking open without follow up and the lack of Spiritual foundation.
Many of their graduates become 'more effective' in expanding the reach and power of Modern Corporate Marketing Culture, the producer/creator of the hologram that now holds most Americans – and many around the world – in its thrall, where we are no longer citizens, or even humans, but merely Consumers of Product and the entire focus of this is to Sell Product.
LGAT's are a part of that mechanism. They cannot be otherwise. And their models facilitate the perpetuation of Modern Corporate Marketing Culture. Why do you think so many corporations send 'their people' to these trainings? They make said people more Effective etc, not more Aware. If they really became so, they'd leave the corporation. Some do, but usually only to start some other type of corporation, not to exit the paradigm.
The very first thing that will make the Sisterhood Trainings different is that they will be non-profit. That way the entire financial focus is devoted solely to getting the Trainings into the reach of as many Sisters as possible and in the optimum fashion.
The final overall structure as presently envisioned would first be the Workshop Series, staring with a Guest Event to provide an enrollment mechanism for the two preliminary extended weekend workshops, a Basic that would run Friday through Sunday and an Advanced that would run Wednesday through Sunday, each designed to be preparatory for the Long Training itself.
They each would have benefits in and of themselves, even the Guest Event. For many Sisters they may be the only direct experience of The Sisterhood they are able have at that point in their lives, so these workshops have to be able to be as positively transformative as we can safely make them in that window.
Ultimately however, their primary outcome is to recruit Sisters for the Long Training. As such the Guest Event and the two Weekend Workshops would all take place within a roughly thirty day period preceding the beginning of a new Wave in the area in which that Wave was to be based. This would also intensify the experience of those Sisters who can only do the Workshop Series.
These workshops will be fully run by the Central Training Operation, a stand alone non-profit educational corporation whose sole purpose is to coordinate, guide and refine the Sisterhood Trainings. It will have a core professional staff which would be augmented with volunteers from the Trainings themselves.
The Long Training – which is called a Wave – is the actual Amazon Warrior Priestess Training mentioned above. Each Wave would consist of a dozen to two dozen Trikonai, a bond group of three Sisters which would be formed during the two weekend workshops and would be a mandatory element. [A dozen to two dozen Trikonai would come out to 36 to 72 Sisters.] The only way to enroll in a Wave is as an already formed Trikona, optimally one that formed and bonded during the Workshop Series. The next section, Part Six: The Trikona, will explain why this is necessary.
The Central Training Operation will provide support, networking, feedback, guidance, etc. But each Wave will be functionally autonomous. Its own members will run the Wave's specific scheduling and be almost entirely self funding, doing whatever is is needed to make sure that every Sister in that Wave is able to achieve all the goals and complete the Training.
Each Wave with be given an overall operational plan and a specific set of goals to achieve. Each Wave can also establish its own unique set of goals and outcomes as long as those do not interfere or contravene the overall plans and goals.
Incorporation: To begin with a Wave will establish itself as a Corporation of the type that best suits the state within which it is primarily operating. That will give the Wave a heft and a flexibility that enhances its ability to pursue its goals that no unofficial group could match. Corporate Personhood is the Key to Power in modern America.
Note that this is essentially an Event. It happens once and is done. The rest of the below are Process. They will unfold and change as the Wave proceeds.
Each Sister in the Wave will be a Voting Member of its Corporation and will be required to have a working understanding of it functions. At the end of the Training Cycle, the Corporation can be dissolved and any assets leftover divided equally among its Members. Or it may continue on as a sub-collective of The Sisterhood, engaging in The Work as its members so choose.
Majickal Working: Sisters would not be Witches without it. Operating with The Pentavalent as a guide, all aspects of each Wave will be Ritualized and conducted with some manner of Majickal and Goddess frame-working, starting with the above Incorporation and then through all the various goals and outcomes listed below.
This should be done in a reasonable fashion, with Focus and Efficiency in Balance. It will not be about 'getting it right', but about making it work. The goal in this is to use the collective and individual Majickal Talent of the Sisters in any given Wave to create a Tulpa, a manifested thought form that embodies the Wave itself, one that helps propel the Wave forward to a successful and fulfilling conclusion.
This will likely be the first real test of a Wave's ability to work as a collective and set the tone for what follows.
NLP: [Neuro-Linguistic Programming] Each Wave will complete an entire NLP Practitioner Certification Training over the course of its Cycle, with each Sister therein getting an individual NLP Practitioner Certification.
NLP is both a powerful Behavioral Change technology and a very effective Personal Communications technology. It should be self evident how such can be useful for The Temple's long term goals.
Impact Self Defense: This is a company that provides a type of self defense training for women that allows them to punch and kick full force, thereby providing a 'body memory' of combat training. Each Wave will contract with ISD to provide a full training to all its Sisters.
The purpose of this is to lay the foundation for a real Warrior Spirit, one based upon actual physical violence, not merely some hypothetical exhortation 'to be a warrior'. That is also why this will be undertaken at the beginning of the Wave Cycle. Warriors Fight. Sisters need to Learn that Lesson from the very start or my brothers will break you.
Yoga: It is likely that many Sisters coming into The Sisterhood Training will already be Yoginis of one school or another. Each Wave will seek their experience and guidance in embedding Yoga into the fabric of the Wave. Over time the Sisterhood Training will develop its own school of Yoga that best serves the needs of a Wave Cycle.
Yoga and Meditation will be the 'off-set' to the Martial Vigor of the various Warrior Disciplines a Wave will undertake. It also will provide a Centering and Grounding Discipline that can used by the entire Wave, a single Trikona, or the individual Sister, thereby providing Harmony and Connection throughout the Wave.
12 Step Work: The 12 Step modality is one of the best I have ever found to examine one's own Self. Though primarily used in addiction programs, it has a universal application. Its key is that with a methodological step by step structure it works upon discovering one's true thinking, which is largely how we get to wherever we are at any given point in our lives.
It is crucial for each Sister to understand who she is, what motivated her to do what she has done and how she got to whatever point she is in her life. These are Essential Elements of Self and the work of The Temple requires a deep understand of Self. Each of the comforting illusions that every Sister harbors must be uncovered, discovered and discarded.
This work will be done individually, within each Trikona and by the Wave in group sessions. There will a lot of pain in this work, so it must be done with vast Compassion for both one's Self and one's Sisters.
Sexual Domination Of Men: As the Greater Goal of all of this work is a New Matriarchy, the practice of a genuine Female Supremacy is at the core of an Amazon Warrior Priestess Training such at this. And at the core of all intra-gender relationships is Sex.
Therefore each Wave must learn the art of The Dominatrix. Given its intimate nature, most of this will be done via the Trikonai. Each Trikonai is to engage a professional Domme to teach them the nature and practice of Domme Work. Each Trikonai will acquire male slaves who will support the work of its Wave in whatever fashion said slave in capable of.
Becoming Sexually Dominant, even as a 'exercise', makes a profound shift a Sister's basic nature. As with a training like Impact Self Defense, this work 'imbeds' that shift in a Sister's consciousness on a deep and atavistic level. And it is down in those places that Patriarchy has its strongest hold.
Dakini: This is the name I have given to a hypothetical mixed Female oriented martial arts system that is still to be developed. What is proposed is a blend of Eskrima, a Philippine martial art that uses simple weapons, sticks and knives, along with hand and foot fighting, Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art which ritualizes it's fighting as a form of dancing and Parkour, a French urbano-centric running and jumping sport.
I chose those forms because of their simplicity and their flowing motion. The idea is for more than just an 'effective fighting system'. If that was the goal, we'd just go with Krav Maga. But as with all of this work, there needs to be a Spiritual aspect, one that shifts Sisters all the way into their core. And as this would be a martial art that originates within The Temple, it is also something that The Sisterhood owns completely.
Body Work: Due to the rigorous nature of the Sisterhood Training, each Sister is going to need body work done to help them heal and renew. Much of this will utilize skilled outside professionals. But between these sessions, each Sister will be required to learn a basic massage/ body work technique so that she can work upon other members of her Trikona on a regular basis. This will also deepen the Bond within each Trikona.
Rock Climbing: This is a perfect all body training and is an outdoor sport can be first learned indoors. It also favors the Female as leg and hip strength is more important than upper body strength. It will support and enhance all the physical training.
Weapons Training: Each Sister in the Wave will learn the use of the Staff, the Bow, the Sword, the Handgun and the Rifle. Teachers and training organizations will be engaged to teach the use of each of the weapons over the course of the Wave's Cycle. You're to be Amazons and these are the essential weapons.
Sports: Each Wave can pick and choose most of the sports they wish to, but Baseball is strongly urged and Paint Balling is mandatory.
Baseball is about Patience, Focus, and Strategy. It can be an excellent 'team builder'. The basic lineup of nine members is perfect for Trikonai. And as America's National Pastime [once upon a time at least] it has deep propaganda and nostalgia value.
Paint Balling is an obvious choice, hence being mandatory. It is a high impact form of mock warfare. The skills, gear and much of the equipment are easily transferable to The Sisterhood's security needs. The Trikona is an organic structure for a Fire Team. And as a serious bonding ritual, at some point each Trikona should be hunted by the rest of the Wave simply to see how long they can survive.
Equestrian Training: Each Sister in the Wave will learn basic horseback riding skills. There is no need to go for competition level training, just the feeling and ability to be at home upon a horse. Again, this is about being an Amazon. Horse Culture is in the Amazon's Soul.
Outward Bound: During the Wave's second year it will engage the organization Outward Bound for a vigorous group 'nature experience'. This will be a bonding experience that the Wave itself does not need to control and a useful place to utilize much of the training and skills acquired in the previous ex-number of months.
So, looking back upon these goals one can see that the Sisterhood Training as outlined here is very demanding, especially on a physical level. And that only a small group of Sisters would be able to complete such a Training. They would be fairly young, say 20 to 40 years old, in good physical and mental condition to begin with and be willing and able to commit their time to totally participate in and finish a full Wave Cycle.
This will obviously seem unfair and exclusionary to those who are not in that category. And it is. The entire Purpose of The Sisterhood Training is to create an elite of Sisters who are capable of driving The Temple's efforts forward to build a New Matriarchy. Be aware that in the long run some of them will die doing that work. This is not a child's game we are playing here.
That said, we also cannot simply write off entire groups of Sisters who do not have the ability to do the above type of Training because they are not 'the above type of Sister'. That is more than merely unfair; it is utterly foolish and totally contrary to our Purpose.
Therefore, besides the Maximum Impact Training [MI-1] outlined above, there will also be a Medium and a Minimum Impact versions of the Sisterhood Training.
The Medium Impact Training [MI-2] will be for Sisters who could probably handle the physical and emotional demands, but whose lives and/or personal inclinations do not allow for the type of time and energy commitment required by the Maximum Impact Training. How each of these Waves operates will largely be determined by their members. The Central Training Organization will set some basic goals, but from there the specifics will be worked out 'in group', which I have found is often an 'interesting exercise' in and of itself.
The Minimum Impact Training [MI-3] is for those Sisters who simply cannot handle the physical and emotional demands of either of the first two versions. They may be too old. They may be disabled. Some could find it all too emotionally intense and need something gentler. Each of these Waves too will determine most of its goals and plans 'in group' along with guidelines from the Central Training Organization.
The Trikona will still be the required basic unit however and for the same reasons in each Wave.
It is hoped that after a Guest Event and a Workshop Series that one of each of version will manifest. That may not always be so. But whenever there would more than one version underway, the key is that they are all Sisters and intramural support is essential. It is likely that many issues would come up, such as the 'feeling less' and 'popular girl' paradigms that may have plagued some Sisters since their teens. That would be some tough work right there.
Some will look at all this and proclaim loudly, and likely hysterically, all this to be a 'terrorist training scheme' and/or an effort to 'build a revolutionary army', so let's address that noise right out of the gate.
The Sisterhood utterly eschews Terrorism. Such is the desperate strategy of the weak and the dis-empowered. And terrorists almost always wind up as pawns in someone else's political game plan. Our goals and plans are our own.
The Sisterhood also rejects Revolution. History shows that it tends to merely replace one set of grasping oppressive bastards with another set of grasping oppressive bastards, ofttimes a worse collection. And note they're usually all Males, too. We won't play that game either.
The essential purpose of The Sisterhood Training is two fold;
One, to train a cadre of Sisters to protect themselves and the rest of the Sisterhood. The goal of a New Matriarchy will terrify some into violent reaction and The Sisterhood must be prepared to deal with that. As I have said many times, my brothers will not give up their power without a fight.
Two, any Sister who can commit to and complete such a rigorous regime as outline above will never again be intimidated by anything. She will still see how Patriarchy oppresses her, but she will never ever again be a 'victim' of anything. Victim Feminism is a handmaiden of Patriarchy and it will take a Sisterhood of Amazon Warrior Priestesses to truly extirpate such a deeply embedded and self defeating paradigm.
And all this is still totally hypothetical. The very first Wave will have no Guest Event or Workshop Series. They'll be a handful of Sisters, maybe only two or three Trikonai, who will work from the above outline to build what will become the Central Training Organization. One day their work will be legendary because of what was stated at the very top of this section; “The Sisterhood Training is the womb from which the New Matriarchy will be born.”

Hi, how should we understand our type stack (e.g. is our dominant function strongly or weakly dominant) and level of development in relation to the numbers indicated by the Preference Clarity Index (these scores are included in the MBTI test report when administered by CPP)? (Not sure if you have an opinion about CPP, but my company uses them to give MBTI tests and training.) Thanks for all the work you put in here just for us readers.
Tests are imperfect and often misused by people who are not properly trained. I personally cannot see much use in them except as a STARTING POINT for analysis. While Myers and Briggs understood Jung’s ideas, the test they designed is a poor representation of those ideas, therefore, I am not a proponent of the mbti test/training/certification program. The only reason my blog mentions mbti at all is because, for many people, it is the gateway or stepping stone into learning type theory.Â
As far as I can tell, the mbti instrument (without the guidance and interpretation of a well-trained practitioner) does not reveal factual information about your personality, rather, it only tells you about how you perceive yourself. And people do not perceive themselves objectively for a variety of possible reasons.Â
The numerical results merely indicate how certain you seem about your type preferences; they do not constitute any kind of objective measurement of your personality traits, and they do not measure traits as though on a spectrum like other personality models. The test (which is not the same as the theory) does not pass common standards for scientific reliability and validity. Consult the study guides to understand type dynamics and how to interpret the stack.
A Soul Journey to Find Peace in Semarang, Central Java
Few days ago, impulsively me and my family planning to go on vacation. It was typical move of ours. We never go out when it is holiday, instead we’re only staying at home, watching good movies, eat some delicious food, and play with our cats at home. Then, when everybody’s done with their holiday, my father took a vacation from his office and spent it with the whole family to go on some places we never been. But this time is different. We are not picking our destination randomly. We think of our destination carefully. We want it different this time. Not only spending time together, going to places together, but there should be something that we could learn from our holiday. Something that we could bring back home, a lesson that inherent with our way of life.
Long story short, with discussion, and thoughts of current cases that happening in society now a days, we decided to pick Semarang as our destination. People said that we hate something because we dont understand. There’s so much hate, disharmony, and negativity recently. Both in real life and everywhere on the internet. The reason? Political agenda, bigotry, intolerance, you name it. Everyone becomes so smart and well educated, until they forget how to be kind. Thus, me and my family thought, that it will be better if we witness the living proof of harmony that happened here in Indonesia from long time ago. So here comes my journey to Semarang, Central Java.
The City, Semarang (previously known as SAMARANG, an abbreviation of javanese words, Asam e Arang-Arang), is known as the port of Java. Some literature stated that long time ago, during the journey of great admiral from China, known as Cheng Ho or Zheng He, this area was the first place where Chinese explorer reach their feet on Java island. The city has canals that are still functioning until now as small rivers. Upside the river, lies several bridges that could be opened to give a way for ships to go through it. All of these are not really functioning really well now. The area where canals and harbours used to build are now sedimented, and some bridges are worn out. But we still could see the actual shape of them in Semarang, Tanjung Mas area to be exact. Sedimentation also reduce the width of waterway in Semarang. There are 2 common known areas in Semarang, upper and lower. Lower Semarang is the place where venice-like civilization used to built. But now land has covered most of it, and it’s become literally, the downtown, of Semarang. Where most point of interest, and public space were established.
Some others, also called Semarang as the city of Lumpia. It is a dish originated from China which is comprised with slices of pork and young bamboo veggies that is wrapped with some skinny dough and fried. But now, the food has went through some acculturation. They changed the filler with chicken chop, or fish and add vegetables with it. But yes, most of Lumpia seller in Semarang are chinese. There are some javanese people also trying to cook lumpia, yet even most people in Semarang agreed that the best Lumpia, is a lumpia that is cooked by Chinese. I have tasted some of them. I bought it in Lumpia Delight. I came there in my first day of visit by the recommendation of my gojek driver.
When I came into the place, I had a chance to sneek peak the process of Lumpia making and have a little chit-chat with the people around there. In my opinion, after some analysis, I thought that Lumpia Delight is the only brand which is having good marketing strategy as well as delicious taste for the the customer. First, is because they are the only brand that have halal certification and logo from Majlis Ulama Indonesia (at least that is what they said in their banners). It shows to the customers that they are aware of their market. Most of the buyers are muslim, and muslim only eat halal food. Several times in the past, these business which is ran mostly by chinese suspected selling Lumpia which contains pork. But, with clever move, Lumpia delight initiated a random weekly inspection of MUI to their production house and put huge halal logo everywhere on their promotional media. Second, is because they use compensation system in their promotion. For example, if my gojek driver recommend me to buy lumpia there, they will get points based on how much my spending there. When they keep collecting it, they could exchange this points with stuffs provided by the store, once they reach the point needs. So with these good systems they have transformed themselves as leading lumpia industry (I should say, hehe) in the entire Semarang. And the unique thing is, when you come inside the store you could see a chart that describe the ownership and history of Lumpia Delight from generation to generation. if I’m not mistaken, the owner now is the sixth generation from the first owner. What a business!
As capital city, Semarang also known as Historical and Metropolitan city in Central Java. Based on the list I read, Semarang is the fifth largest metropolitan city in Indonesia after Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung and Medan. Although it is categorized as metropolitan city, if you walk around Semarang you still could find some historic touch of old town in the construction of the building. The most iconic site in Semarang is Lawang Sewu (1000 Doors). It is named after a building that build in 1904 and finished at 1907, which is used as the office of Nederlands Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij of NIS, a train company in dutch colonialism era.Â
The building has a lot of doors, since it is used as office as well as dorm for the employee. In Lawang Sewu also lies a lot of horror stories, but now the management tried to rebranding the site from mistery site into historical site of Semarang. I enjoy my tour with Pak Kusnaedi, my tourguide. He come from Ambarawa, and has been working as tourguide in Lawang Sewu for 15 years. When I ask about misterious thing in Lawang Sewu, he didn’t replied me directly, instead he’s explaining that basically there’s still a lot of other thing in Lawang Sewu which is more interesting to be noticed other than the misterious story itself. Well this wont be cake-walking process, but in my opinion they’re having a good start.
The most interesting part when I go to Semarang, is when I had a chance to visit 4 religion worship places. This is no ordinary places, since they had their own stories and unique point behind them. As you know, there are 6 religions that is legal based on law of Indonesia. They are Islam, Christian, Catholic, Hindu, Buddha, and Konghuchu. And I have visited 5 out of 6 religion worship during my time here, complete with exclusive tales I earned from each site.
They are, The Great Mosque of Central Java, Blendoeg Church in Old Town, Vihara Avalokitesvara and Sam Poo Kong Temple. You could find the complete history for each of them in the internet. You could also see the photos of them in the internet. But the thing that you couldn’t have is the experience when you go to each of these praying sites. The calmness, the beauty of architecture, the scent of the air, and the different ways of preaching of each sites. But, they have one thing in common, to find happiness, and peaceful state of mind, not only for their soul only, but also for the entire universe.
Here are some pictures of them, that I captured with my favourite travel buddies, Samsung Galaxy J7 - 2016.

This journey in Semarang has taught me, that if God wants us to be the same, no difference at all, He could do it right away. But He decides to make us colourful, so that we could appreciate the beauty of one and another. So that we could live in harmony. And most importantly, so that we could have a heart, that kind enough to keep peace, for the sake of humanity and the world.
So, have any of you visited Semarang before? If you do, please leave me a comment below and tell me about your experience. I’ll be happy to have some inputs from you. Thanks a lot for reading this. Hopefully you have a heart kind enough, to appreaciate, and respect the difference that we had in our beloved country, Indonesia.
