Spike boarded Serenity with the help of Jayne while Mal announced that negotiations hadn’t gone exactly as planned. The rest of his babbling was lost to him and Jayne as they shuffled off in the direction of the infirmary so the doc could patch Spike up. Who, much to his discomfort, didn’t appear to be there and ready as requested. Jayne went off in search of him, leaving Spike to climb onto the table himself.

"Uncle Simon kicked me outa the 'firmary," he pouted, starting to touch things on the console that he probably shouldn't. It was ok though because he didn't actually push and buttons or anything. Or at least, that's how he saw it. It wasn't bad if he was just playing pretend.
