One of my life’s greatest inspirations @kookapinto putting his Sprout on rail near his home in San Clemente. Corey’s surfing is obviously inspirational but it’s his heart and mind that have changed my life. Sorry, did someone say meerkat-urday? #AnimalFact: The dark skin & hair that makes the “fashion-week eyeliner” look on the meerkat serves a purpose that has nothing to do with fashion. Due to a diurnal life on the open savanna they need to manage the glare from the sun. Similar to ballplayers putting black marks on their cheekbones to reduce glare, the black around the eyes of the meerkat serve the same function. Vision without glare is important when you are the perfect size meal for other predators that may come from the ground or the sky - gotta keep a sharp eye out for them!
