Do you remember when 2Pac said, "they got money for wars but can't feed the poor?" Well, right now in America, 12 million people are set to lose their unemployment benefits by the end of the year if our government doesn't pass another relief bill. We've been facing this pandemic for almost a year and our government has yet to freeze rent and mortgages & they've given us a one time payment of $1,200 almost 6 months ago expecting that to have lasted this long. At this point, our taxes are paying the salaries of people who were elected to represent us but won't help their people in our darkest hours. We're hitting record numbers of new cases almost daily at this point & there is no sign of this trend ending. There has never been a more necessary time to have a system in place that we know we could turn to. Our government clearly won't create one, so let's build one ourselves.
