reasons why the minecraft speedrunning community is amazing:
- minimal drama. everything is solved very fast and even divisive topics like the calculator ban are discussed in a civilized way and no one loses friends because of it
- pretty much everyone knows each other and is still super welcoming. all you have to do to make friends is talk in chat and be nice.
- despite all going for the same world record, everyone is very supportive of each other and celebrates when other people get good times. if someone is on a god run, you can guarantee that every speedrun discord or chat will hear about it and everyone will rush over to the stream to support.
