Busy, busy bee!
Tuesday 13th January
Really incredibly busy at the moment! I have the folllowing deadlines to meet:
26th Jan - first day of French Stage 2 inter-faculty module, for which I feel the need to revise all the French I learnt at GCSE 21 years ago (since I haven't actually studied French since then and don't want to make a fool of myself in the class!)
26th Jan - submit abstract for a paper to (hopefully!) present at a conference at the BM in April
29th Jan - submit applications for funding for a) improving my French b) going on 'Rapid Survey Scoping Visits' to key museum collections
29th Jan - 'Work in Progress' presentation at a History & Heritage Research Seminar at Nottingham Trent University
2nd Feb - submit a) 1500-2000 word Research Statement; b) 5000 word piece of discursive prose from my thesis; c) completed summary form, all for my mid-year review
5th Feb - first Rapid Survey Scoping Visit, to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge; this will involve discussion of my project with some eminent numismatists, and thus necessitates completing the reading of certain studies & papers to allow me to at least sound a little bit erudite and knowledgeable during the discussions :/
