my room smells like tequila and hair dye.
please hire me.
I find it fascinating the number of Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist positions that require a Bachelor's Degree. I'm am expected to rack up 120,000+ debt for a 4 year degree to work in a position where I will average 25 to 35 a year. Ummm... there is a flaw in that logic.
My fun-employment bucket list
I have a few days off before starting my new gig and I intend to squeeze every second out of those precious days of freedom. Here are a few things I’d like to do with my time, in no particular order:
Visit the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. If I go during a weekday, I may be able to wander the halls without interruption and pretend like I live there.
Check out Body Worlds at the Science Museum. Is this exhibit okay for extremely squeamish people? I don’t want to pay $27 to vomit and faint.
Cook or bake something new. Now that I’ve nearly mastered the art of poaching an egg, the culinary world is my oyster.
Write every day. You’re welcome.
Finish the two books I’ve started. This gives me an excuse to buy new ones. Oh, how I love books!
Rearrange my apartment. Do two people really need four sleeping bags, seven bikes and countless backpacks? Hell yes we do and it is my duty to rearrange our lives around them.
Buy a glasscutter and make stuff with my collected wine, soda and beer bottles. Everyone’s getting new glassware!
Run in the daylight and remember what it's like to run without clutching a can of Mace.
Get a violent, full-body massage by a gentleman with very strong hands. My muscles are angry.
Take an impromptu road trip to visit family or to Indiana, ‘cause I’ve never been there before.
Try on some wedding dresses so everyone will stop giving me hell.
Anyone care to join me?
