This one could possibly be a Russula, a kind that can make you sick I never pick them, though. I just like the color.
Cool cup fungus on a rotting log. I don't know much about fungi, but I believe this is Urnula craterium, also known as Devil's Urn.
These guys are growing all over a dead rhododendron, anyone know who they are?
Everything is wet, it was raining earlier. What can I say, we live in the Pacific NorthWest. Rain is what we do. Here you are issued a snorkel at birth.
I found a strange fungus??? (I think) in my black raspberry container. Can anyone help me ID it so I can figure out if it’s beneficial or bad for my favorite plant baby?
It’s soft with hard black things inside??? Ive never seen anything like it but I knew there was mycelium looking stuff in the organic soil I used.
[[EDIT:]] It’s BIRDS NEST FUNGUS. It’s beneficial for my soil and will help break down the mulch into good nutrient rich soil :)
Hi. Can anyone tell me what this thing is? I saw it out near the bird bath that’s under the lilac. I figure it’s some kind of fungus but I’m not even certain of that. Thank you!
These may have been the oddest mushrooms of all. They were a foot to a foot and a half tall, and swayed wildly in the least bit of breeze. You can see how shiny they were. No clue even what general sort of mushroom they are.
Unknown but beautiful fungus.
