“Well, it’s headed in the right direction.”

“I think the fact that you think I would take time out of the precious school day meant to be used for the noble purpose of learning to notice-.” Fake indignation was one of Alesea’s favorite sarcastic tools, but in this case the zero believability and the fact that she started laughing before she could finish kinda gave away the fact that she was just being contrary.
“Of course I think the new kid is hot I have eyes don’t I?” She added dropping any pretense and pointing at her eyes as though to emphasize the point that she did indeed have eyes. Eyes that worked perfectly well in fact.
“So is this the point where one of us calls dibs or…?”
Illya chuckled, shaking his head. “No. No I do not think that is necessary. Perhaps we are better off admiring from afar.” He let his chin fall to lean on his fist, staring, rather shamelessly, toward the new hottie in question.
“For all we know, either of us could go over there, and be laughed at. Or worse. What if he is an idiot?” A mocking gasp of horror, reflected in the increasingly over-hysterical tone. “What if he is even dumber than you?”
Illya didn’t mean it. Alesea was brilliant if you asked him. Not the most... structured... person in the school, but bright. Witty and charming in her own way. He merely hoped she already knew he thought as much, since he made no attempt to take the false-insult back.
“Besides, he is out of our league.”

“No these are obviously very detailed notes taken in pictograph format of course.” Alesea said, very much a lie, and not even like a good one. Yes her notes were mostly doodles, or all doodles really, notes were boring, and besides that was what friends were for. Writing notes because you were too busy designing a new tattoo you wanted to get, or drawing your teacher being stepped on or just bad visual puns, all very important uses of time.
“If your notes are so much better let me see them.” She added being totally subtle and not making it obvious she was just going to copy them because yes her notes were worthless. “Like just give me a copy and I’ll compare them to my pictographic notes and see how they match up.”
Jack sighed and gave the blonde a long look. “That’s cheating. I know you’re just going to copy them because you were playing artist all class.” Knowing what she was doing, however, didn’t seem to be stopping Jack from pulling the notebook out and flipping to where he was semi-sure her doodles started.
Alesea’s notes might be mostly doodles, but Jack’s, as meticulous as he was trying to be with them, were nothing but chicken scratch. A five year old could write more legibly in crayon.
“Here. Just give them back soon ok? If my dad finds out I’m letting you copy...”

“Hello hello. It’s one of my favorite doctors, back again! How are you?”

“Hey. What did the baby computer call his father?”

Alesea was probably the last one who should be left to deal with a distressed child; honestly one of the corpses in the fridge might actually be better, at least it wouldn’t say something stupid. However she seemed to be the only one who actually noticed the boy, who seemed to be in obvious distress. So she pulled off her gloves, shoving them in a pocket and walked over stopping in front of him, trying for a look of concern,
“Hey kid, are you alright?” she asked, speaking quietly trying not to startle him or anything. Stupid question really considering where he was and the fact that he appeared to be crying and where he was and all, obviously he was not alright.
“Are you waiting for someone?”
The boy looked up, grey eyes puffy with tears though he had yet to make a sound. This woman... she looked... nice was the wrong term. As was mean. She looked... like an adult. Plain and simple. Dyns was starting to suspect that adults couldn’t be trusted even if he really wanted them to be trustworthy.
Still, she probably couldn’t understand him anyway right? He sat up, still staring at her face as he let his knees go so that he could begin to sign in rapid-fire ASL.
‘My father doesn’t even know I’m here. He said he wasn’t coming and that I wasn’t allowed to come and I did anyway and now I wish I hadn’t. If I go home he’s going to be so mad and I don’t want him to---’
The child let his hands drop with a silent sigh. What did it matter? His eyes finally looked away from the woman and he shook his head. She probably didn’t want to deal with his hysteria anyway.

“Perhaps you should let the person who went to Medical School decide that,” Alesea didn’t actually finish medical school but he didn’t need to know that, she learned all the important parts.
“I may treat the dead, but I also learned how to treat the living too.” Well she learned the theory, she hadn’t gotten to the practical part before she had gotten kicked out, but really how hard could it be? that was just another fact that he completely didn’t need to know, besides if it was really bad she could go find him a real doctor.
The young man stared at the woman for a long moment. He was not so sure about this. Something about her just didn’t scream, ‘medical professional’ to him. No. The scream was more along the lines of, ‘played a medical professional once in a radio drama’. But he could feel the blood getting cool and sticking on his hand where it held his arm.
“Now don’t be goin’ an’ gettin’ any bad ideas or nothin’. Just got a little shot is all. Probably needs like... a... I dunno... bandage or sometin’ is all.”
He got the bullet out right? While he was running. Probably. Yeah he did. .... probably. Surely he... fuck.
“I think it jus’ grazed me is all.”
