Resident Evil's Selena Corey has got to be the biggest disparity between "Level of Relevance" vs. "Level of Fandom Love".
But like.
Yes, she is only in maybe 45 seconds of the game. And no, she has no additional weight besides being a generic zombie with a different cosmetic layering.
That said.
She is a queen and royalty and I love her so much. She deserves a full fandom, a kingdom, and to be knighted.
I love that they chose Velociraptor for this flash.
Yaz has probably watched a lot of videos about Owen's raptor training to try and cope with her trauma, and saw Darius do the hand thing with Blue himself. So she's reaching out to touch, and as she does this, the motion reminds her of that...and she remembers what Velociraptors are really like.
She remembers the claws flexing, the breath, the glint of their teeth, the intelligence in their eyes. She hears their growls. She knows that as brave and Owen and Darius are, things could still go wrong, even as she takes their stance.

Relationships:
Tsumugi Inoue: "Eccentric" vampire girl. Took her in after she was allegedly "abandoned" by the man who changed her, though he eventually dumped her on Uzuki McNamara when her behaviors made hiding her in his community difficult. Despite his denial, he does reciprocate some sort of feelings for her, but his faith and their vastly different personalities keep him from admitting to it.
Zoe Dahlia Gosling: Tsumugi's eccentric follower. Has a habit of inserting herself into his and Tsumugi's affairs, though Mikael doesn't mind, as her presence in these situations puts less pressure on him when dealing with Tsumugi. Still, dealing with them both can be exhausting. They're practically a trio when he comes around. Not a vampire, despite her claims. Mikael has become a sort of mentor figure to Dahlia in recent months.
Nehemiah -- (Sim Pending): Longtime associate. Practically family due to having grown up close to each other. Mikael trusts Nehemiah with his life, and vice versa, and the duo have an unspoken bond, primarily enforced by the fact that Nehemiah isn't much of a talker to anyone outside of Mikael. Mikael successfully hid the secret of Nehemiah's werewolf nature since childhood, which proved beneficial when dealing with Tsumugi, a vampire, years later. Or it was, for a time.
Uzuki McNamara: Friend and Tsumugi's caretaker. Took Tsumugi off Mikael's hands when her lodging with him became too risky, given her habits. He occasionally visits her in Mt. Komorebi to check on her and her son, Dahlia, and Tsumugi.
Kiwi McNamara: Uzuki's husband. Acquaintance. Met one day while visiting Uzuki.
Natsuki McNamara: Uzuki's adorable young son.
Personality:
A kind man of faith who has a tendency to attract weirdness since childhood. He interacts well with others, but dealing with Tsumugi has made him reconsider his approach due to her unique personality.
One of Mikael's biggest flaws is that he tries to see the goodness in everyone, even when confronted by a young girl covered in blood in the middle of the night, which stemmed from a childhood of rationalizing the violent aspects of his best friend Nehemiah's werewolf nature. Yet, the patience and consideration he showed Tsumugi that night not only saved him from becoming yet another victim, unbeknownst to him at the time, but it also entangled him in a relationship that is both wanted and unwanted by him.
Still, he strives to live a mostly honest life without regret for the situations he has landed himself in, even if it means constantly battling his internal conflicts and temptations.
Although he may seem naive to others due to the factors mentioned above, Mikael is surprisingly skilled at persuading people, particularly when it comes to planting ideas in their minds and making them believe it’s the truth. It's why he was able to assume the role of a priest at such a young age. Using this skill and a cross that he blessed, he convinced Tsumugi that she could suppress her dark impulses as long as she wore it. Although he knew this wasn't true objectively, Tsumugi believed him completely and continued to wear the cross under this impression, the placebo helping keep her vampiric side at bay unless in desperate situations or moments of intense and uncontrollable emotion.
As the oldest among many siblings, both biological and those he regards as family due to their shared community, he has a special fondness for younger individuals. He naturally assumes the role of an older sibling towards them, regardless of their personalities. This led him to take the eccentric Zoe Dahlia under his wing, who came as a packaged deal once his involvement with Tsumugi became definite. Their relationship resembles that of a mentor and student, or an elder brother and younger sister. However, Mikael can't help but notice the jealous glances and pouts that Dahlia throws his way whenever Tsumugi focuses her attention on him, which he finds amusing and adorable.
Finally, some believe that a darker aspect of his personality is that his strong desire to help others is rooted in condescension. They think he views others as beneath him, believing they are incapable of improving their situations or meeting the moral standards he sets for himself. However, it remains uncertain how accurate this perception of him is ...
