InkTober 2019 #3 Continuation
I tried. Sorry if it isn’t what you were looking for. ^^’ Prequel here
Villain woke up just as they were being lifted into a prison van. Instinct took over and Villain struggled to try to free themselves. With how Hero had tied them up, escape was an impossibility and they were soon behind bars.
Hero came up to them and grinned, "Hey, sleepyhead. You must have been tired. Well, I guess still have plenty of time to rest where you're going.'
"Where's [Henchman]?" Villain growled.
"Sorry, but [Henchman] was just bait to lure you in. I've let them go, don't worry, but you're off to prison now."
Villain sighed and managed to wiggle around until they'd sat up. "Not bad, newbie. I congratulate you. I fell for an easy trick, but I don't suggest you get comfortable with the idea you're better than me."
Hero smirked, "I'd never."
Hero backed away to shut the van door, "Happy travels!"
Villain escaped prison within the week.
Hero was furious as they read the paper for the third time. All that time and effort- wasted! It had taken them so long to organize everything and it was ruined! Hero feared they'd never be able to catch them again.
With a scowl, Hero scrumpled up the paper and kept walking in the direction of home. They had no idea that in the dark shadows behind them watched and waited, Villain was following from a distance, biding their time.
Hero had just turned the key in the lock to their house when Villain decided it best to pounce on them, covering their mouth and holding a blade close to their throat.
"Hello, Newbie. I told you not to get comfortable. Did you miss me?" Villain purred.
"Not really, it has to be said," Hero managed as they squirmed away from Villain's hand.
Villain let out a 'hmph' noise and cautiously moved their hand away from Hero's mouth, instead making sure they couldn't run. "That's a shame, but at least now we can get to know each other."
"Are we talking 'TV and chill' get to know each other or knives and agonizing pain get to know each other?"
"For goodness sake, at least try to be serious for a moment." Villain sighed and shoved them inside their home, hard enough to send them sprawling onto the ground. Hero tried to rush to their feet but Villain was quick and used their weight. "How does it feel being caught by the same person you tried to arrest?" Villain asked.
"Painful- move your knee!" Hero winced.
Villain didn't exactly have an answer. They seemed to completely give up in talking and instead rushed to tie them up and gag them. They left them on the sofa while they went around the house, leaving Hero alone for quite a long while. They next Hero saw them, they had their large suitcase in their hands and it looked full. "I think I've enough bits and pieces to keep you comfortable. You're coming with me to my base."
Hero could only furrow their brow in confusion.
"Sorry, Sweetcheeks but I have work to do and I really can't afford for you to get in the way again. Don't want anyone getting hurt now, do we?'
Hero understood now. They were being taken to ensure that Villain had no competition with whatever they were planning.
Hero was powerless to stop Villain finally throwing them over their shoulder and carrying them away to a waiting van.
Oh how quickly the tables had turned.
