Size shifter love time :3
Featuring: Monty (Kitsune), Parker (Filler)
Monty was a security guard at the local mall, the place was always busy thanks to it's wide selection of stores and snacks, he tended to hang out towards the outskirts of the mall just watching people come and go from over by the escalators. Today was no different, except for the fact that there was now a little monster bothering him. Ok in her defense Parker was just interested in him after they'd accidentally bumped into each other last week, afterwards she just kept coming back to try and talk with him. Humans sometimes just had a higher aptitude for detecting magic, something so rare Monty thought he wouldnt have to deal with it for at least another 50 years, but nope, he managed to find one this time around. He couldnt exactly just be rude to her since he was at his job, so he just kinda compromised by keeping his arms crossed and staying silent when she started questioning him.
The day came and went, Monty watching her leave once more, she was hopping up and down while waving like a maniac as she ran out, he grimaced, at least she'd be gone during his night shift. He didnt usually take night shift since it was so quiet but he had to, another person called out.
His back to back shifts caused some issues with his sleep, he looked rough to say the least, leaning against the wall since standing seemed like so much work.
"good morning sir :3" he flinched, glancing at Parker who once again was the first person in the mall, he had a soft huff escape him as he adjusted how he was standing, something in his chest stirring.
"morning Ms. Parker" his voice was almost a growl at this point, he would rather be on his bed right now. She seemed to notice, hesitantly walking away, he assumed she was just leaving which would be great in all honesty. He slid down against the wall and sat, he was just.... Going to rest his eyes for a bit. A bit turning into a good 30 minutes, only interrupted by Parker coming back, gently shaking his shoulder.
He woke with a start, his fur puffing up a little, he was too dazed to really react at first, that was until she asked "where'd you get the tails" his heart jumped a bit, all the grogginess melting away as he realized his glamour had worn off. He scrambled up, not wasting any time with formalities as he scampered away to try to find a bathroom or something. He bobbed and weaved through the few people on that side of the mall, not even noticing Parker following as the doorways seemed to get taller and taller until he tripped on his own clothes, faceplanting into the hard tile. 'nononono' he was panicking, which really wasnt helping, getting him all the way down to the size of a mouse. No one seemed to notice at least as he scurried to try and find a hiding space. It was too late for that, a foot came crashing down in front of him, he could hear the loose pieces of gravel crushed under the weight of the massive creature in front of him, he could keep himself from yelping before falling back. He almost died, at least he thought he did, Parker had just been trying to stop him so she- well he found out soon enough, digits bigger than his face coming up behind him, giving him no time to react as he was lifted away from the ground. The sick feeling in the pit of his stomach getting worse as he was tucked inside a jacket pocket. He had no idea who or what had gotten him and there was no way he was gonna find out. Curling up tightly he hid beneath his tails, trembling like a leaf.
Parker took him and his clothes to the back again, where little to no people were, hiding behind the escalator. Her mind racing as she fished into her pocket, retrieving the ball of fur "are you ok" she whined softly, genuine worry filling her voice
He flinched, he'd kinda been hoping it be anyone except her, pinning his ears back his only response was a shakey growl, a warning meant to scare her away, one that would not work out in his favor. She hesitated, bringing her finger up to stoke his back, she didnt regret it even if it just resulted in him biting her. His teeth were sharper than she expected, yanking her hand back to inspect the wound, they'd cut deep like a dog's ... Or? A fox? Was he a fox? She glanced at him, picking up one of the pieces of popcorn chicken she'd been bringing him, offering it "do you need food?"
He pulled away, almost falling off her palm, she needed to curl her fingers to stop him, he looked more animal than man right now, small as a mouse it was almost cute how panicked he was. Bad idea: she was going to try and calm him down through contact. She cupped her hand and pressed him to her chest, wincing as the little claws dug into her, this time not letting up. He seemed to struggle for a few minutes before calming down- er- maybe just giving up? Either way he stopped, her heart was racing right next to him, he couldnt tell whose anxiety was filling his senses right now. Gods he was a fuck up, he should've gone home to recharge on his break, that would've been the smart thing to do, but no now he was being held like a feral rat under an escalator. His tails gave a soft swish, she could feel him get a little bigger, moving her hands away so he could grow as much as he needed. A little surprised when she found herself holding a grey and white speckled fox, his coat was so soft too she had to resist the urge to hug him. Not really sure how to respond she just kinda lifted her hands in surrender. He pinned his ears back, hopping down off her lap, wriggling into the clothes before changing back, starting to adjust them "tell anyone and i'll eat you" he growled, gods that was stupid, he could've just thanked her but instead he threatened her.
She at least seemed to understand that, smiling a little bit "of course" he huffed, tucking his tails away again "i mean it' he pouted. Oddly enough, this changed nothing for her, just now she knew why he was so strange.
