One of the non-dinosaur commissions I completed for the holidays! This piece has a funny story behind its creation, as the nuances of the English language ended up creating something unexpected (though just as loved)! I was asked to illustrate a “Black Panther archer with gold leaf arrow tip and eyes” - to me, that meant the comic character Black Panther... though I had never seen T’challa use a bow. Turns out, the patron was talking about a personified animal Black Panther! They loved the piece despite the mix up, and decided to keep it instead of creating a new, intended-animal illustration.
