Funnygames (2007) A family of three go to their vacation house for some time away, upon arriving there they see a young pair with their neighbours, however all is not as it seems. What. A. Horrible. Movie. Goddamn I wish I could rewind time to get my time back after watching this. It seemed interesting on the cover, however it becomes very apparent very quickly that this film is shit. The cover of this film, has two 4*, and a 5* review on the front. I have no idea who you people are who reviewed this but you’re on a different planet to me. If anyone else watched this and thought this was a terrific movie please enlighten me as to why. The film doesn’t really do anything, it doesn’t go anywhere, it doesn’t piece together any puzzles, it doesn’t answer questions, it really is just pointless. The start, the middle, the end all of it. It’s a pointless endeavour that feels like it the whole way through unfortunately. It might just sound like I’m just tearing into this film, but in my eyes it’s all it deserves. The only saving grace is that the acting is pretty decent and the juxtaposition between it’s polite tenure and macabre atmosphere is something that’s interesting at least. Apart from that, I didn’t feel this film had anything else going for it, I very rarely tell people not to watch a film, but I would tell you not to watch this. I’m interested to see what anyone else thought of this, but I absolutely hated it. Overall I think this film is a travesty, a waste of time and a 2 hour shame.
