My Dramaworld – The Dream of Every KDrama Addict
Been browsing Netflix lately as it is my new obsession, I have been re watching chick flicks and of course looking into Asian Dramas to watch, I saw a new release titled “Dramaworld’ I looked at the promotional photo and id does not look like an Asian Drama to me but I read the plot and boom! my eyes grew big…grabbed my popcorn and I prepared myself to watch and expected to be glued watching for hours – it was my day off anyway so I planned to just sit there and watch.
So this was released internationally via Viki last 17th Apr 2016. It is a story of Claire an American college student who is obsessed with Korean drama. She's glued to her mobile phone screen watching her favorite k-drama actor Joon Park (Sean Dulake), in Taste of Love. So all of us know what Claire is as we are all the same like her – obsessed. So one day an unfortunate or shall I say ‘fortunate’ event happened, that while she’s cleaning she slipped and the magic happened, she was transported to the world of drama where she meets with the characters in flesh.
A guy who works in the restaurant (where she landed and the main set of the drama) explained to her why she’s there in Dramaworld, she was chosen as a facilitator to help redirect the drama to where it is supposed to. As the story is becoming complicated and the leading actors are loosing their way to a happy ending. There are of course rules to follow in order to be a facilitator, which is written in the book that was lent to her, such as - she should not tell the characters that they are in a drama, she should stay on the sideline, she should not fall in love with the characters…etc..etc..
So her main role is to let the main actor fall in love with the lead actress..blah blah blah. As the story unfolded right before her eyes, there were some characters in the drama that actually are manipulating all the events and Claire was just used to carry out an ugly master plan. So guys sorry to disappoint you but this is just as far as I can go. I would not like to go into details here as I wanted you all to watch this – this is a great commendation to all of us who once in our craziness, came to a point that we wish we were in the drama that we are watching. This is complete genius and well done on making something like this for us to be entertained.
A very quick one to watch as one episode is just 20 minutes I think, the beauty of this is they just place all the random things that are always seen in every drama (shower scene, piggyback…etc), this is quite funny, so don’t wait no more. Watch it now!!!
P.S. I told you earlier that I was browsing Netflix looking for Asian Dramas and I bumped into Atelier a Japanese Drama and yes I started watching it. More on this on my next blog.xoxo
There are so many good new kdramas out. I recently started watching “Come Back, Mister” is it so funny. I am loving it.. Kdrama writers are amazing. Looking forward to what this drama is gonna bring.
I still have to catch up on some dramas I have not had a chance to watch.. oh where the time goes.. I need more hours in the day to watch more kdramas.
