I can’t help thinking of our beautiful planet whenever I make one of these frozen bubbles. A lot of people are as in awe of frozen bubbles as I am. They write and ask me many questions. One common one is if the bubble can be picked up and tossed around like a ball. The truth is, despite the fact it is created in our harshest, coldest season, a single breath will cause the bubble to collapse. Similarly, here we are, afloat, in a dark, uninhabitable universe aboard the only habitable place we know…Earth. Astronauts have remarked how our planet shines like jewel when viewed from space. And so I continue to create my frozen bubbles cherishing each one, marvelling at the magic, the beauty and the fragility.
