The breaker room was quiet, except for the constant, dull hum of machinery and the sharp spark coming from the occasional loose wire.  Andrew had a flashlight; he didn’t use it.  If his notes were correct - if what was back here actually existed - then he didn’t want to startle it or come across it unexpectedly.

He kept to a dark corner, pulling a folded paper from his pocket and looking at it, glancing up every few seconds to see if there was any movement. Yes... it had to be here...

“Hello?” he called out, his voice firm and confident.  It was almost a command, rather than a question.
