There's a lot of great tutorials on how to remove skin, so I'll give just a really brief rundown

There's a thread here, remove it

Ears become flop

There's a ziptie here, remove it

My Y2K had glue along the ears and face, gently yank on it until it comes off

The circled areas have screws that must be removed

This size of screwdriver worked for me, I have a whole kit

All of the screws we're going to remove are basically the same size so don't worry about mixing them

The boy is just guts

On the back of the head there are two screws, remove them

And voila, you have access to the juicy ear bones of the Furby

When you reassemble it, be careful not to tighten the screws too much along the plate here or it will break

Reassembly isn't difficult, but there is a tricky thing with the back plate

When you put the shell back on, you'll see this on one of the sides, this is where the backplate goes

Like so

From here, everything is pretty easy to reassemble
