@furbraincheezi liked this for a Lion Guard verse starter
She’d been on a fairly routine task. A couple of zebra had been quarrelling, and while Daddy could have sorted the matter easily, he had felt that it was a good opportunity for her to practice what he’d been teaching her about resolving differences between her future subjects.
And so the young lioness had set off towards the argument’s location. All alone, for once; she had a feeling that her father had sent Zazu along to tail her from a distance, but that didn’t bother Kiara. That was more to grade her rather than to keep an eye on her anyway, right?
She had, however, become diverted from her course long before reaching the zebras when she’d seen a flash of grey fur, and had decided to follow it.
Kiara was hardly the Lion Guard, of course. And while she knew she couldn’t handle Janja’s whole clan... this was just one hyena. And these were gonna be her lands, not Kion’s... surely she should have some say in defending them, too?
So, right now, she was stalking the hyena stealthily through the grass. She didn’t know which one it was, she didn’t know any of them by sight except Janja himself - but that was okay. She didn’t need to know who he was to find out what he was doing.
At least, she believed she was going stealthily. Truth was, however, that Kiara was still not the most silent hunter around; every so often, her paw would tip a rock or break a twig - and while Kiara hardly noticed, they would surely alert her quarry to the fact that he was being followed.
