The duckling appears startled and worn down by the time she finds him, which is very rare for her. She is usually full of energy (or sleepy if she had put off a nap) and cheerful. Of course, he is one of the few people who has seen her weaker or worried or upset before, and he always made her feel better and fixed what was wrong. That’s why she has come to him now, a ribbon with a cryptic message held tightly in one of her small hands.
“Papa, please look at this,” Webby pleads, failing to use her usual manners and asking if he was busy before holding the red cloth up for Scrooge to take.
“I don’t know what it means and I don’t know who it means, but it was on my doll and I don’t know how it got there and-and...“ This is not!! Normal!! She is not sure if she should be worried about herself or someone she knows or both!!
