I think furious is the best httyd villain ( all httyd media )
Like I can’t hate him he’s so sympathetic and even against hiccup his reasons for being the way he is very understandable ( I’m in the middle of book 10 )
He’s one of my favourite characters
We live in the bad universe where there’s edits of grimmel all over TikTok but not a single soul there mention furious 😔

Httyd 12 book spoilers
the ending was amazing, one of the few pieces of media where the ending didn’t ruin the story or was weak compared to the media at its strongest, i cried I’m not gonna lie these books made me tear up so much, the way furious went from a giant angry sea beast to feel alive again and his death because he remembered what it feels to love, he remembers his older brother may be one of the best moments in the series.
The way he went from saying ( a boy who has a name that I once loved ) to ( a boy who has a name that I love) Cressida Cowell is stabbing me when it comes to furious and hiccup the second.
I love how the separation made sense it wasn’t a way of giving up or a cheap attempt to make an emotional ending in was the final plan since hiccup can’t live forever, and the fact toothless stayed with hiccup till his death , I got everything I asked for.
Everyone got what they wanted from the cast or at least had a hope for the future ( except Alvin and the witch lol) fishlegs found his true parents ( may not be what he expected) , deadly shadow was able to keep their promise etc .
The lobster necklace symbolism of love , how Alvin gave it because he didn’t care and how fishlegs’s mother and fishlegs gave it because of their love , this series did a beautiful job on showing how family love/ friendship is important.
Seeing hiccup becoming the king because of his previous adventures’s achievements was so satisfying, I for a moment thought Alvin would be the king and hiccup would do something to prove he’s more worthy but this was better.
Also snotlout, no way Cressida Cowell created the character with the most goofy name you would ever hear and somehow makes it so emotional WHAT 😭.
Things that I find bad ??
Honestly nothing aside from the fact I feel kinda empty since I finished a series that I love, it was grimbeard , he was pissing me off , the fact after he ran away like a coward he was singing. ,, a hero is forever.,, makes me low key want some dragon to eat him or something, like I get he’s a bad guy I know, but the things he does after he killed his son, HE STILL THE SAME he just ran away cowardly instead of facing his actions or at least making what his son that he killed’s wishes true, he went out of his way to trap the dragon that his son knew and lived with in a prison, like he should absolutely the least know that his son wouldn’t want that happened to that dragon especially, and he was buried in a place that has the name hero in it .
Aside that I guess it’s realistic that some worst people don’t learn or don’t face the consequences they deserve .
Truly an amazing series and had so much fun reading it ( au and fanarts time now)
Httyd book 8 spoilers
just finished the book and I love the new villain , furious , he lost the ability to love with all the hate he has while being trapped for like 100 years , poor hiccup now he’s not even fifteen and he will deal with Alvin his witch mom and from what furious said he’s also gonna deal with an angry ancient dragon with a dragon army ( instead of a human forcibly leading an army like the movies we have a dragon villain leading an army for their freedom my boy hiccup is cooked )
I need to draw something before reading the next book the hype I have for these books is crazy they just gets better
