Brothers and lovers?

lol yeah THEN it would be some seriously messed up domestic abuse.

Sooo I was just talking to my sister about DreamWorks and Blue Sky, and summed up them as like this:

"Blue Sky is the younger, more discerning brother, and DreamWorks is the wild, more cutting loose type of brother with a sort of a past (think their embarrassing movies)"

and okay i know that some people are annoyed with me that I am thinking of these two companies as 'related' to some extent (to be fair Fox is now distributing for both of them, so take that as you will) but I think my correlation is still somewhat valid and furry-furrets would probably agree with me, since we see Blue Sky and DreamWorks as being on the same quality level.

And Blue Sky's animation is impressive, they just give their own style to it (which is sometimes borderline hyperrealism) along with a bit of cartoonish, but that doesn't mean that their movies are "kiddish" in any way, whereas DreamWorks' animation tends (I'm referring to their animation post the Renaissance that began with them Kung Fu Panda onwards) to be organic animation that focusses on the little details. Both animation styles are great, and both are evenly matched with each other, in my opinion, and this is one of the many reasons I see them as "brother" studios to each other.
