Is captain Amelia from treasure planet furrybait?

Mod AJ still hasn't seen Treasure Planet and needs to. He has the ability to rather easily, but has not seen it yet. I like the feline qualities they give her in animation -- her quick movement, her wonder at the map, and just the general regal nature in which she holds herself. I focused my research in grad school on Sci-Fi and colonization so this combination of space and pirate tickles my fancy. As for a design, herself, Captain Amelia is great. One could talk about the gender dimorphism of her children, but that's a different post.

for some more ZZZ furbait: Ben Bigger, Pan Yinhu, and Pulchra Fellini. (I must say I find it unfortunate Pulcha is more anthropormorphized than the boys, but I'm surprised they even let one of the straight up furry women be playable, so...)

Is Ben Bigger Furbait? I mean let's be real. The amount of art I've seen of him from all variety of furry artist (who like big men) when this game came out is plenty proof. Who wouldn't love a big man like this? If you don't, that's fine. You're wrong. But you don't have to like big man like this.

Is Pan Yinhu Furbait? I mean like he's kinda if you made a furry out of that one guy from Overwatch I've reviewed before. Still, though, he's a good big boy and I have seen him for the first time today. He's plenty furbait and I think there's not much to contest that.

Is Pulchria Fellini furbait? I see what you mean, but I think the word you're looking for is sexualized. Like she's more shaped like a human rather than a bear on two legs, but her outfit is definitely trying to show off as much fur as they can. One could say something about the difference in outfits and builds between the two. Apparently women aren't allowed to be big and anthropomorphic in Zenless Zone Zero. Still, though, without a doubt, this is furrybait.

Calvin and the Colonel

Ah, a nice little 60s animated sitcom romp! How cute! I think there's a lot to be said about this art style and how nice it is to see characterization out of animal choice-- ah? What's that on Wikipedia? Amos n' Andy?

Oh. Oh no. Oh noooo..... Now the Wikipedia article does say that the Amos n Andy DNA of this show is there still, but the characters have been changed. These two are now cutesy animated animal characters to appease a wider audience, because -- well -- blackface was wrong then, and it's still wrong, today. It didn't make the viewership increase and by all accounts the show's fiscal success was lackluster, to say the least. I mean the animals are better than the alternative, but I'm struggling to define the read that you give these two in spite of that. I haven't seen a whole lot of the show, now, but when you do consider that the characters are essentially the same, they remain black coded and their negative traits follow negative stereotypes of black people. There is nuance to be had, for sure, but that's reserved for a true essay that's probably 12th on the backburner of creative pursuits I plan to make. As it stands, right now, I'm saying the character designs are furbait but the characterizations are not ideal.

I think she's unambiguously a furry, what with her whole thing being cosplay, but the question is whether or not she's fur*bait*. When you make your verdict, I think it's also worth bearing in mind that she isn't just a human. She's from Ponos' dead dating sim, GirlsMons, and she is described as having been from a mighty werewolf clan, though a transformation is yet to be seen.
