Found this while doing some digital spring cleaning: an abandoned animation idea for Treasure Planet’s 20th birthday! I ended up going with a much simpler animation because I just didn’t have the time, but I’m surprised to find that I still like these bones!

Yeah so I may have rewatched this movie and MAY have bawled my eyes out once again in the "ye got the makings of greatness in ye" scene

Always adored how shapely the character designs in this movie are and how Long John Silver in particular is such an absolute unit of a guy (god i ADORE the design on his machine parts and how well the hand drawn 2D blends with the old CGI of that era)

I just had to do some frame/shape design studies!! Stepped out of my comfort zone, but boi was it fun :D
