Because it’s not magical school but ‘supernatural’ school? There was a vampire there as well in The Originals.

I totally get why a vampire might get sent there, but lycanthropy is genetic and extremely, EXTREMELY rare in canon... I can see like ONE or TWO werewolf orphans that might end up at the school, but werewolf parents (even ones who haven’t triggered the gene) letting their kid go to a school with vampires? It just... it doesn’t make sense in the world that they’ve established that this would be a logical decision for a werewolf parent to make. Are there even any established instructors at the school who are werewolves?

Her satin dress rustled and crumpled as she bent down to look at him. Her dark hair, curling into perfect black ringlets, shifted around an impossibly beautiful human face, her ivory skin shining like alabaster in the glow of the sunlight. When she smiled at him, her dark eyes twinkling maliciously, he was simultaneously attracted to and disgusted by her.

She was clever and never reached past the sunlight barrier as she bent at the waist, giving him a healthy feast of her cleavage in her revealing gown, as she retrieved his daylight ring from the ground. He watched her, trying to veil his interest and failing, as she turned his ring over in her fingers. She examined it boredly as she spoke again.

“I guessed you must be a vampire the moment I saw this.” She flipped it lazily back and forth between her thumb and forefinger, the heavy metal thunking on her skin. “No self-respecting nobleman would wear such a gaudy thing unless there was a good reason for it.”

Klaus rescuing Elijah from Esther (‘Elijah… Brother…’), Elijah holding Klaus after Davina cut him off from his sireline, Klaus saving Elijah after he got shot by Aurora, ‘you come after him, you come after me’, Klaus’s monologue to Elijah in his coffin after Elijah got killed… the list goes on and on and on…

I’m crying I love all these moments I cannot believe I had to choose just five.

The only thing I don’t like in that speech was the ‘he made me need him’. No, my man. He was there for you so you knew you always had someone to lean on. ‘He made me’ is such a ‘how dare he’ thing. Anyway, I can’t put it into the words I want, but it doesn’t sit quite right with me.

I actually enjoyed that choice. “He made me need him” is accusatory for sure, but it came at the exact right moment, a moment where Klaus feels his dependence on Elijah deeply and feels the emptiness of that loss most acutely. And goddammit how dare Elijah make him need him? How dare he shape this bond between them and be such an integral part of Klaus’s life and making Klaus love and rely on him so much only for him to UP AND LEAVE HIM. The only  thing that would have made that rant better for me would have been if the implied [me] at the end of “but he did leave” was actually spoken. 

My least favorite part of the speech was the “he was my best friend,” mainly because the term is modern and doesn’t have the same weight as something like “lodestar,” “north star,” “redeemer,” “confidant,” or even simply “a friend”. I would’ve gone for something taken out of his speech in 4x10 or something like “companion”. “Best friend” falls short and I wouldn’t envision Klaus saying it.

I think anon meant that they feel Haley’s Klaus’s soulmate, not Elijah’s.

Ah see the “he” was too obscure because Klaus is not at all mentioned in the ask and boy is language strange. In any case, Hayley wouldn’t be Klaus’s soulmate either.

Noooo, Elijah loved Klaus before any obligation he felt because of guilt, family, whatever. It’s just that amnesia!lijah does not have that love as a basis and only reads/hears about the antagonistic nature the Klelijah relationship regularly has. And an outsider perspective is not kind to this relationship (you know, beside ours ��)

We have got to beat Elijah’s feelings back into him.
