I'M SO EXCITED FOR FRUITS BASKET! There's some stuff in it that hasn't aged gracefully (late 90s shoujo, what are you going to do) but I think it's a really good story and maybe that's just nostalgia talking, but I'm very glad you have quickly identified Uo and Hana as objectively the best characters (why are the heroine's best friend(s) always the best characters)
YESSSSS I AM SO GLAD!!! I’m hoping if I could survive the sailor moon manga’s “oh yikes” moments this won’t be too bad. Also,
Tohru’s friend Uo-Chan is a yanki, but the old tokyopop translation of the manga wrote “Yankee” instead. I remember being really confused as a kid. “She’s an American?!” It didn’t explain her behavior or why other students were scared of her.

Oh you're starting Fruits Basket! I'm so excited, I've been following you since you reacted to Princess Tutu and now you're going to react to one of my favorite stories of all time. I'll say this as someone who's read the manga, if they keep doing adapting this as well as they have you will love it. It's the kind of story that I think is right up your alley. I can't wait to see you react more!

Ok my prediction for this show is that it’s like gathering the stones for the Infinity Gauntlet except it’s Tohru collecting a menagerie of beautiful anime boys who are also loyal household pets
