Write this! I had no idea how much I needed this in life until I read the blurb. The palatable sadness, the vague horror of what was done to them. Just being vaguely Princess TuTu inspired... I NEED THIS!!!!

I actually have so many ideas for a roleswap Ryuko/Senketsu AU. Like... for the episode 5 situation, when Tsumugu would be out to kill Ryuko in this AU, what if Ryuko’s like, “He’s trying to kill a Kamui, but would he try to kill a human girl?” And so she begs Senketsu to take her to school with him in her human form, but Tsumugu can see right through her and still attacks her anyway? And so, much like Duck in Princess Tutu, Ryuko grapples with the idea that she may be able to look human, but her “true self” is still clothing, and Tsumugu will always see her as a “Life Fiber monster” no matter what? Which are actually the exact words Tsumugu uses when he faces against Nui in the Kill la Kill game?
Or, on a lighter note, the AU could have a more magical bent, and Ryuko could shift into clothing again when she “acts like clothing,” like how Duck shifts back into a duck when she acts like a duck. I’m not entirely sure how that would work, but I would get a kick out of hijinks like that, lol. (Maybe if she gets too excited about irons or something.)
I have so many things to write that I don’t think I’ll ever get around to doing something with this AU, sadly, but I think there’s a lot of potential! I encourage anyone to write it for me, haha!
