I don't know why you would ever come to me for wisdom but here's a thought I had today

a while ago, I created a couple of ocs with two friends and I was thinking about them again because I love them and also I'm making up stories with them rn. they are supposed to be my kids, me and a friend adopted this criminal family — anyway, I was imagining a specific scene where someone would ask one of our kids why there are no wedding photos of their parents in the house, are they divorced?

(now, where I come from, most houses have marriage photos

+ me and my friend aren't actually in a relationship, in this world we just decided to create a family as friends)

so, our oldest daughter, son (❤️), sees the look on that person's face and she knows what this is about — trying to find the hole in one's life. so she replies "my parents never got married, that's why we have no wedding photos. they are not in love. or I guess, you could say they are, in the way everyone is a little bit in love with everyone else. you see, it doesn't matter if you find your other half or not. you are not incomplete, you are not half a person. creating a family is about being ready to give love, the love you've always had inside."

sorry if that doesn't make sense, it's 1am and none of my thoughts are coherent
