FUTURALBUM

Troy DeShano invited me to participate in his collaborative design project, FUTURALBUM. The project requires you to choose an album and reimagine the cover using images in the Internet Archive Book Images and only the Futura typeface family. I chose one of my all-time favourite records, Paul Simon’s Graceland. I found the process to be pretty challenging, mostly because of the sheer volume of images in the archive. There are something like 2.6 million images and they aren’t catalogued particularly well, so the good stuff takes some digging.
