My Dad’s Secret Past
When your kid finds out you used to be in a band back in high school and not just any band, but the most popular band in all of Norrisville back in the early 2010s.
Years later, Oliver accidentally stumbles across some old photos and videos of his dad, Bucky, rocking out on stage with the rest of the band. At first, he doesn’t believe it — his calm, goofy dad with bedhead and mismatched socks used to be a local celebrity? No way. But then he sees the posters, the merch, and the fans chanting his dad’s name, and suddenly, it all starts to sink in.
Bucky tries to play it cool, brushing it off like it was “just a phase,” but the sparkle in his eyes gives him away. Oliver can’t stop teasing him, calling him “Dad the Rockstar” for weeks afterward. And deep down, he’s kind of proud, not everyone can say their dad used to be part of the most iconic band Norrisville’s ever seen.
