Only last night had Alix been handed her pocket watch once again. The silver watch that had been given to her by her father originally, had been the cause of her akumatization into Timebreaker. On her birthday no less. It seemed like years ago now, before she was aware it was really a miraculous disguised as an ordinary watch.
Alix had given it to her future self on the day Timetagger had appeared. Knowing that was going to be her future had been exhilarating to her. To be in full control of her life and bend time to her will. Occasionally she had seen her older self wandering the Louvre, but had never spoken to her directly. She wished she had the guts to try and speak to her, but there was no way to explain how she knew her to anyone else.
Last night, her father had been akumatized. It was rather hard fighting him. He had been a positive influence for her all of her life, especially after her mother’s death. While receiving the rabbit for the first time was exciting, being forced to attack someone she loved was excruciatingly painful. She pitied anyone else on the team who had gone through the same thing.
After the fight though, and after she had supposedly gone to bed for the night according to her father and brother was when it got interesting. Ladybug had used her watch to send her a message. It had shocked her at first for her metallic watch to vibrate from her dresser with a high tech version of a messaging app. God knows how excited Max would be at the idea if he were a hero.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The night before~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alix was staring out the window of her bedroom, slight bits of frost creeping on the edges from the night time chill. It was early January, just hitting the lower temperatures. A bonus along side of it was that it granted her more free time, as she didn’t have to assist her father in Louvre business due to less tourists.
Fluff’s ear twitched slightly from her shoulder, fascinated with something as simple as the fabric of her clothing as she nipped at a fuzz ball. Alix had a feeling she was gonna have to get used to some strange behavior from Fluff. But she would get used to it at some point it would seem, guessing by her future self’s fond look in her eyes when Fluff was talking nonsense during Timetagger.
That’s when her pocket watch buzzed on her night stand, vibrating slightly to the left and a light blue glow flooding from the edge and illuminating the dresser in its light. She leaned over, the bed squeaking under her slightly and grabbed her miraculous, opening it.
She had expected the usual blue hologram of the lady holding a watch with the ticking clock, the women perhaps speaking a message. But she found that it had changed form completely, turning into a futuristic messaging face. It turns out she had been added to a group chat labeled, "Hero’s of Paris." Upon further examination, she realized every active hero was in the chat and she had been requested to meet on a rooftop not to far from where she was.
Alix blinked for a few moments, replying that should be there soon before closing the top of the watch with a small snap. Fluff chattered with a small clicking sound, spinning happily, "Well, are you ready for your first mission?" Alix sighed, "Second, you mean?" Fluff blinked at her but offered no answer.
"Fluff, Clockwise." A soft blue swirl of magic surrounded her, her pajamas vanishing in place of the super hero costume she now donned. She flipped the lock on her window, inhaling as she looked down briefly. Normally this kind of fall would be dangerous or even deadly, at least resulting in a few broken bones. But the suit would protect her and make it so she wouldn’t even feel it. Fluff was protecting her at all times.
She slid herself onto the edge and dropped down, squeezing her eyes shut as she landed in a brace for impact. Alix’s body may have been aware of the suit’s protection, but her brain was not and made a slight freak out for her as she landed. Her umbrella was hooked onto her back with a small sheath, easily available.
With another glance at her now transformed watch, she confirmed the location she was heading too and bounded off in a speed much faster than she was normally capable of. Alix almost felt like she was flying, as her legs seemed to naturally propel her off the ground. Similar to how she had seen rabbits run with a leap, her jump was also incredibly longer and higher than what she was used to.
Bunnix tensed her legs approaching a building, pressing them into the brick road before pushing up with a jump that accelerate her 20 feet into the air and easily onto the flat roof. When she looked behind her, the Louvre was still completely visible. Darkened inside as it was closed up for the night with the outside lights of the pathway still illuminated with a yellow glow that could also been seen from coming from other parts of the city.
Bunnix, now heading quickly across the Parisian homes had a tingling feeling inside, a mix of anxiety and excitement eating at her. How would the rest of the team react to her? Especially in Viperion’s case. Would he think she’s stealing his job? They both are time travelers after all.
Bunnix’s ears twitched faintly as she slowed down enough so that the wind didn’t press them back. She could hear Ladybug’s voice speaking, even from a few houses away from her. The night was quiet, allowing it to travel across to her. Had her hearing improved too? She was a rabbit after all.
"Our new teammate should be arriving in just a few moments." The rest of the team all sat or leaned on the edge of a brick wall on top of a rooftop, a few air conditioners creating a light hum as a background noise. Their faces were illuminated with yellow light from the street lamps below, their usually colorful costumes looking duller. Pegasus’ in particular looking more black than dark brown while Chat practically was part of the night.
Bunnix landed a moment later, her blue and white costume appearing darker with the white looking more light gray. Ladybug gave her a fond smile, her bluebelle eyes twinkling softly, "Everyone, this is the rabbit hero. Bunnix. You may have seen her adult self during the Timetagger akuma from the future, but this is her current self. As you can also assume, she is now our second time travel hero."
Roi Singe cleared his throat slightly, "We arent replacing Viperion, are we?" Bunnix tensed lightly, heart racing slightly. She was worried about this, she hadn’t wanted to seem like that. "God no! I don’t want to replace him! He has his own place on the team." Ladybug shook her head, "No Roi. While the rabbit and snake may both be time travel, they are quite different. The snake allows time to be reset. While the rabbit travels through it. Or at least, that is what Fluff and Sass explained it to me as."
Chat Noir gave her a friendly smile, "Hello petit lapin. I’m sure we’ll have a good time as part of the same team." Viperion gave her a small glance and a nod, "Welcome. I look forward to knowing you." He had a look of curiosity and calm in his eyes, and something else she couldn’t quite put her finger on. Bunnix gave a slight smile at that. "Thank you. You as well. I hope we can get along, and that goes for everyone else here as well."
Meanwhile, from else where an adult rabbit user watched from a chimney. "Oh mini me..you have no idea what this will lead to.." Her blue eyes glistened softly, as did the small ring on her finger.
