Rin was happily taking his boyfriend out on their 30th date after the years of them becoming older and even growing closer. Their friends were happy about them being able to fight together and live together. After Tsubasa finally living his life as he wanted, things were good. He had a wonderful boyfriend who finally became a exorcist as he wanted and Tsu did too.However, when on their date Rin left some small clues for a present at the end. He was watching Tsubasa still wearing some gothic clothing he picked for the date and the choker necklace he picked for the outfit.
At first Tsubasa laughed wondering what his Rin-Rin was hiding from him but Rin said it's a surprise. They spent the day going all over town to find the clues with presents of flowers, blue jay doll with a feather necklace. He loved this till the day came to a end showing it was night and them standing out looking at the moon together.
The scene went like this:
"This has been another wonderful date Rin-rin. Thank you so much for this night." Tsubasa smiled sweetly to Rin as they held hands looking at one another.
"No problem. Anything for you, Kit. Though...their is one more surprise I have for you." he said looking at him that Tsubasa tilt his head.
"Rin-rin, you already spoiled me enough today. These gifts are just perfect. I love them so much....I know whatever else you have I'll love it still." He leans in to kiss his cheek but Rin smiled looking at him.
"Well, that's the thing. This last gift is more like...a promise." he said. "A promise?" Tsubasa said softly but he looks to him still holding the gifts. From far away, their friends were waiting for this moment. Rin smiled but gently held Tsubasa’s hand looking at him.
“*Clears throat* Tsubasa Connor, when we first met, it was rather under a different situation. You were alone in the beginning, thinking everyone would just want to know you being a celebrity of the exorcist. However, I saw you as a friend at first. Someone that really needed to be happy no matter what. Me and the others were happy to have met you. Even though it took a while for them to learn the real you. At first, I was worried that you wouldn’t want to grow close but after a while, we all did. You grew close with everyone after a while even when the first days were harsh.” he keeps holding Tsubasa’s hand as he listens to him. Rin kept silent but looks at his hand showing his face flushed pink.
“However, we changed from being friends to boyfriends. You gave me something worth meaning to show that I can be happy. Even if I’m a spawn of Satan. Even with your family killing all demons. But you...as many others like you, were different You didn’t see demons as monsters..just misunderstood. I’m so happy to know that you cared for me that it got us being here in this moment..”
“Rin-rin..” he was about to talk but Rin looks down to see him reach for something from his bag but held up something in his hand. “?????”
“......Tsubasa, I really am happy that I met you. I’m so happy that you came into my life. You changed my life to be more happier because you love me for me. Not because of the title I was given. That is why...I want to give you this final gift and...ask you one thing..” he slowly looks down at his hand before slowly getting on one knee that Tsubasa’s blue eyes widen in shock.
“R..rin-Rin? What are you-” He saw Rin looking up at him but moves his hand showing a red velet box as he opens it showing a engagement ring. It had a gold ring with a red gem in the color of purple. Their flames blending together to be this new color. Tsubasa’s eyes widen even more to slowly reach up with his other hand, covering his mouth with tears running down his cheeks.
“I know you made my life wonderful Kit, but I hope you will do the same for me too. Tsubasa Connor, will you marry me?”
“.............”
He waited for the answer but looks up seeing tears running down Tsubasa’s face. Did he upset him? Was it too soon? True, they been dating for a long while so he figures.. Before saying, Tsubasa speaks:
“Y..Yes.....”
“What?” Rin looks at him but saw a smile on his face that Tsubasa sniffs crying.
“Yes; of course I’ll marry you.” he said that Rin smiled to stand up straight, taking the engagment ring out of the box and held up his hand. He carefully slides the ring on his finger and held it. However, Tsubasa quickly jumps in his arms crying more that Rin picks him up spinning him around before bringing him back down kissing him sweetly. This was the start of a wedding to remember!
Mike saving the toys he showed El back in 1983 when they first met (like Yoda and Rory his dinosaur) so he can give them to his kids because they meant a lot and he can’t part with them
Mike reading his kids the Princess and the frog and gets to the part where the frog turns into a prince. His daughter giggles and says "is that what happened to you?"
"What?" He was confused.
"You know, you look like a frog and then mom kissed you and turned you into a prince."
He shuts the book and laughs, "Ok, you've been around Uncle Dustin too much."
Mike doesn't get nightmares often, but he occasionally gets nightmares about losing El ("I can't lose you again"). There's always that small part of his mind that worries one day he'll wake up, and she'll be gone. That her return all those years ago was nothing but a dream. El knows when he's having a nightmare because his arms will tighten around her. She'll squeeze back, as of to reassure his mind that she's still there. She's not going anywhere.
Mike is good at singing. Like, really good. No one ever hears him though, he’ll only sing in the shower or whenever he’s alone. Never around other people. The only person who ever hears him sing is El. She likes it when he sings, he’ll sometimes serenade her while they’re making dinner or just because. She’ll often join in after a few lines and before long they’re singing dramatic duets in the kitchen or around their small apartment.
