MC is a hacker from Hackers Chasing Hackers who is one of the best in the organization but still no match for Seven. She sees him as her rival and constantly tries to catch him and win against him. She fails and he mocks her with virtual dancing cats which just ignites her competitive spirit lol. And then she gets sent a weird message by unknown and ends up in Rika's apartment. :D
“Damn it.” She mumbled, watching the dancing cats go across her screen for the third time in two weeks. 707 was really starting to piss her off. She scrubbed at her eyes, trying to soothe the burning caused by staring at a screen for hours on end.
She was supposed to be one of the best members of Hackers Chasing Hackers and yet here she was, defeated at every turn. When they first started after 707, they’d figured that he’d be an easy mark, but then each of their members were overtaken by dancing cats. She huffed again. While the dancing cats were annoying and would take a while to scrub off of her hard drive, she had no doubt that 707 could absolutely destroy her setup without a second thought.
She stood from her desk, needing to straighten out her back. She groaned as her back popped a couple times as she made her was into her kitchen opening her fridge and groaning for an entirely different reason. Nothing rubs in her defeat as having absolutely no food in her apartment.
She tugged on a pair of shoes, feeling kind of grungy but the desire for food overcame it. She left the house, debating on whether or not to go to an actual grocery store or the closest convenience store so she could get back to trying to crack 707.
“Actual food is a better plan...” She mumbled to herself, pulling her backpack holding her laptop on her back, ignoring the few odd looks she got. I put my middle finger up at them, she thought to herself with a snort.
She shoved her groceries into her bag, holding the few bags that didn’t fit in her backpack. She hummed to herself as she walked down the street, feeling slightly better. 707 wouldn’t be able to stay away from them for very long. The fresh air raised her spirits and her confidence.
She paused outside of a cafe, debating whether or not to get a cup of coffee or pastry, when there was a sudden vibrating noise beside her. She glanced down to see a phone abandoned on the table. She picked it up, and unlocked it.
~
“Holy shit.” She mumbled. A lot had just happened in the past half hour, and she was now in the apartment of the former RFA president. The RFA who’s members included one Luciel Choi, God 707, whatever else he wanted to call himself but hot damn. She had her in. She grinned to herself. She wasn’t going to reveal her hand right now, let him fall into a sense of security, and then, take him down.
She pulled out her laptop, eager to tell the other members of HCH her findings, only to be greeted by cats, continuing to dance across her screen. She scowled. Even with her own victory, she was faced with the reminder of her failure.
