Came for the books stayed for the Tea™️ || Mistel and Gill
Since his sister had essentially forced her way back into his life, Mistel had actually found it easier than expected. Granted he'd have liked it to have gone differently, but at least he didn't have to go all the way to Leuda to simply borrow a book. He hadn't managed to spend much time in a library since he had been in school.
The thought must have simply just allowed his mind to play a trick on him, as he passed between two shelves. He spotted a familiar silhouette in his peripheral. It couldn't be. He had left Gill Hamilton behind two years ago. Bored and infuriated to not get what he wanted, Mistel had followed the move with his aunt, with no word to him.
The small level of doubt he couldn't help but feel forced him to turn back, to glance between the books. And indeed there he was, glancing through books. His breath caught in his throat, unsure of what he should do. Nearly every part of him knew that he should turn away, leave him as is for both of their sakes.
And yet one single part of him dragged him towards his ex lover. The conquest he had never finished. That single part of him needed to see it to its end. The two years on him had only benefited, at least from the back- the trousers helped. It was decided, he had no choice but to attempt once again.
He sauntered up, leaning against one of the many shelves, book held tightly in his arms. "Hello Gill. What brings you to the Islands?" His voice laced with honey, in spite of knowing that it would take more than sweet words to flatter and seek forgiveness. Mistel would honestly loose respect for him if his crimes were so easy to forget. He wanted the pain, in some twisted way, he knew he would enjoy it.
How many times had he done the exact same thing in the past?
